So I just wanted to inform people that if you go to the temple to Apollo at Delphi where the oracle at Delphi was situated there are cats, like everywhere and they are so placid I spent most of my time there with a kitten in my arms, Greece is honestly a great place for cats and if anybody is going the or near there and likes cats you should really go, not only is it a beautiful historical place itās also full of cute fluffy balls of fun
I have been and I can confirm, also they are super friendly, vs Athens street cats who donāt want you to even look at them.
Also been, can also confirm that the cats at Delphi are incredibly friendly.
Soā¦..Apollo is a cat person and Athena is a dog personā¦..
Self-portrait by Vincent van Gogh, 1887, Museum of the Netherlands
Vincent moved to Paris in 1886, after hearing from his brother Theo about the new, colourful style of French painting. Wasting no time, he tried it out in several self-portraits. He did this mostly to avoid having to pay for a model. Using rhythmic brushstrokes in striking colours, he portrayed himself here as a fashionably dressed Parisian.

i hate how percy jackson fans keep taking over every tag us hellenistics createā¦every single time without failā¦and itās clear we create the tag for our gods not the books charactersā¦like apollo(deity) has been taken over recently..iām livid bc how rude do you have to be to continuously take something sacred to us and make it a fandomā¦are you telling me you canāt just tag it with something as simple as āpj apolloā instead i dunno man iām just upset
Yeah, something Iāve noticed recentlyā¦.. Pjo content are being tagged like apollo*, hermes*, etc. Donāt do that, itās a tag Hellenists use. Why, Iāve even seen pjo posts being tagged āhellenismāā¦ā¦Pjo fandom please donāt do that. Youāve already disrespected the beliefs of Hellenists a lot of times and itās really rude. At least leave the tags lol
Donāt.
Fucking.
Do it.
Personally I feel this goes for roleplayers + godkin as well. If you wanna do that stuff in your own community then fine, I canāt stop you, but stay out of ours. We donāt need you coming over here telling us how to āworshipā you.
And for the most part yāall seem to stay away, thatās good, but some of yāall keep jumping into our ask boxes or onto our posts talkin bout
(godkin): āthatās not how you worship me. I donāt like that as an offering. You should do this for when you worship me.ā
Or roleplayers acting like āoh yeah Iām Aphrod*te Iām a total slut.ā āIām Z*us Iām gonna go cheat on H*ra cause I canāt keep my dick in my pantsā (names censored because I donāt want my Gods names connected to that kind of language.)
Do yāall not understand how insulting and offensive that behavior is to us, especially when doing it on our religious posts and blogs??
Honestly a lot of the tags most of us hellenic polytheists are using are full of memes and PJ references... so I appreciate this post a lot. Please and thank you for thinking of those of us who worship and go to Greek Gods. It would be nice to have separate tags for once.
