Important announcement: archiving this blog

Hi bbies! I realized the other day that I haven't been active on this blog for almost two months, so if some of you were wondering, I'm still around :)  Lately my RL has been providing lots of distraction to keep me from roleplay, and after some thought, I've decided to archive this main blog. I will probably do side projects with other characters (or even Bucky, of course!) in the future, mostly because I know that my craving for more consistent roleplay will return. Thank you to everyone who stuck with me even though I've mainly been on my personal blog! I hope everything is going well with you, and I love you guys :)

For the future, you can always contact me through my personal blog. I'm usually on there several nights a week, if not almost every night. I'm also planning to keep up my AO3 fanfiction account, which is where you'll be most likely to see Bucky in the future :)  I will probably make a post in the next week or so giving info on what exactly has been distracting me in RL - rest assured it's good stuff, I just gotta keep it a secret for a bit longer... ;)

Hi bbies! Apologies for how distracted I've been lately! Occasionally this happens when I've had a roleplay blog open for over 6 months, and since Bucky is now 8 months old, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The simple explanation is that my brain is bogged down with fanfic ideas (and a few rp thread ideas) for Bucky, and when this happens, I have trouble deciding what to do first. Currently I'm considering remaking an old OC blog of mine that I haven't written with for a good year, so we'll see how things go in that regard. Sometimes making a new blog helps me to get my brain organized so I can also focus on old blogs, too. ;)

I've also been considering making an alternate Bucky blog, maybe a side blog or something, just for a couple of his favorite AUs. I certainly wouldn't close this blog, but that could give me an outlet when canon Bucky is just too bogged down with fanfiction to roleplay properly. We'll see.

Finally, from November 20th-24th I'm going to be away in Canada visiting a few tumblr bbies, and while I will have my laptop with me, I probably won't be posting much on any blogs except with random updates here and there, or with pictures, or with both ^-^

It felt like he was deep underwater, swimming slowly towards the surface. He felt no need to rush, no insistent requirement to breathe, either. It was close to simply floating, the surface high above him well-lit and beckoning, encouraging him to gradually drift upwards.

He broke the surface, and then everything turned back into cold and pain.

The canyon. He’d passed out, Bucky realized, moaning weakly as he tried to open his eyes, eyelids heavy as lead. Something was different; was he in a different position now? And he felt warmer, so it seemed that Steve had been able to move him a bit, pull him close… Yes, he could feel the rise and fall of Steve’s chest as he breathed, could feel the warmth of the other’s torso and the chill of his hands.

"S-Steve…" His voice was hoarse, quiet still. At least the pain had ebbed for a moment, whether from cold or numbness or both things working together, and he was able to breathe. "… Steve… you… y’hurt?" His eyes drifted closed again, brain yearning once more for unconsciousness even as a gradual wave of pain built up in the remains of his left arm. The sergeant gritted his teeth, trying to not fight it as it ebbed and rose, came and went, like waves against the sand. "G-God… Stevie… I’m dyin’…"

Steve had no idea how much time had passed between when he got Bucky to rest on him and when he felt the man stir, but he’d hoped that Bucky could stay unconscious for just a bit longer. The more time he was out, the more he would heal and not have to feel the pain that obviously wracked his body from the loss of his arm. God, poor Bucky. At least he was alive, though — he praised God that Bucky was still alive. He had also decided that no matter what, he would not allow him to die. It was not an option.

"I’m here, Bucky — not goin’ anywhere," he whispered when Bucky spoke, and pressed the softest of kisses to the man’s forehead to comfort him. "And you know me — no pain I can’t handle. I’m stubborn." Steve smiled softly and stroked his hair. If he kept the mood as light as possible, maybe Bucky would feel more calm and able to rest. He wished he had some kind of medicine for him, like morphine, but there wasn’t anything. The blood flow from his arm had stopped when he’d applied the tourniquet, but he’d lost quite a bit.

The calmness of his voice was tested when he said he was dying, though, and he shook his head firmly. “No, you ain’t dyin’. As soon as my leg is healed up enough I’m gonna carry you back to camp, and they’re gonna look you over. You’re hurt, but you’re not dying, you got that? Not on my watch.”

With a soft, hoarse groan, he buried his face against Steve's neck, trying to focus as much attention as he could on the fingers stroking gently through his hair, on the steady thud of the Captain's heart against his own chest. It helped, being this close; it gave him something to hold, literally and figuratively.

If he was about to die, then this was the best way to go.

"You are stubborn," he murmured faintly, smiling to himself, "Stubborn little punk..." Granted, Steve hadn't been little for some time, but everything was starting to run together. Bucky shivered weakly, eyes closed as he breathed Steve in. A wild desire to lean up and kiss the other came into his mind, but even the thought of that made his shoulder throb with pain.

A few seconds passed, and he tried very hard to not think about Steve carrying him. Knowing the blond, he'd push himself, trying to carry Bucky before he was fully healed. "S-Steve," Bucky whimpered, his remaining hand clutching tight to the other's uniform, "Steve, d-don't... don't hurt yourself because of m-me..."

Steve lay nestled between his thighs, mouth warm and sensual against his own, cock cradled by his hip where it rubbed - hard and needy.
