I rarely go on Tumblr anymore because I’ve noticed an increase of toxic fan behavior on here, especially within the Outlander group. The jumps that ES(extreme shippers) make to “prove” their theories is truly insane sometimes.
Here are some fake examples using the same thought process I have seen used:
Cait and/or San follows a restaurant on SM. That restaurant has a kids menu. Therefore Sam and Cait have secret children.
Sam replies with 3 😍😍😍 emojis. Each one has 2 hearts for eyes. 2+2+2=6. There’s 6 people in their secret family.
I’ve been in this fandom since Outlander first aired. I’ve met some wonderful people, read fics that made me laugh and cry, and seen truly amazing artwork. There are so many thing I love about it.
Unfortunately, there’s the small group of people who make up lies, twist the truth, body shame, and harass the cast. Those people are not fans, they are bullies.
