I can just imagine Isa being reunited with his brother and then practically flying to Mal and begging him to help him bc he knows that if anyone can do anything for him it’s gunna be the professor

He took one look at baby Isa when he was first brought in and was like “he’s mine now, I don’t make the rules”

He’s about ten years older than Isa

When the WF started injecting dust into Isa, Emmerich was livid and basically ran away with Isa and an older member

While they were making their escape, the WF caught on and sent guards after them. Emmerich stayed behind to hold them off while Isamu and the old man got away

His punishment was to become the new subject of the dust experiments. His body didn’t handle the dust as well as Isamu’s and basically tried to reject it, resulting in lots of complications

He was basically kept as a prisoner once he was no longer useful as a test subject. He is in a lot of pain from the dust and has very little mobility

Some time during the main story, a WF base gets liberated by people from Team IJAK and Team RNSM (Isa included) and they find Emmerich (this was originally the point where he would have died, shortly after being reunited with Isa)

He is sent to a hospice where he is looked after until the resident dust experts (Mal/Mav) come up with a method of removing the dust from his body, thus lessening his pain and preventing his eventual death

He gets a lot of physiotherapy and mobility aids and gets to go live with Isa
