don’t dwell on things you can’t control.

do things good for yourself, even though you have no motivation.

tell yourself that you’re growing from this, and you won’t feel like this forever.

Example Prayer

Dear God, I admit that I have gone my own way and have sinned against You. I realize this sin separates me from You. But I am willing now to stop going my own way and turn to follow You. Please forgive me. I am placing all my trust in what Jesus Christ did for me when He died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. Thank you for raising Jesus back to life again. I invite Jesus to be in charge of my life from now on. Amen.

Jeremiah 20:11

This is something that I am always, constantly having to remind myself of. In our flesh, we tend to think that God exists to bless us and give us the easiest life possible. But that is not the life that we are given. Christ calls us to pick up our cross and follow Him. In Philippians 3, Paul points out that as Christians we participate in the fellowship of His sufferings. We are going to go through hard times in this life, that is a given. But that does not mean that God isn’t there or that He doesn’t care or that He isn’t good. No matter what is going on in this world or in your life, God is good and the circumstances may not appear good in the moment, but know that your good, good Father is working something out for your own good, even when you cannot see it.
