happy birthday to our favourite anti-hero, childless cat lady, mirrorball, archer, mastermind, taylor swift 🩷

wishing her the best day (see what i did there?) and thirteen million birthday loves.

of course, since taylor's turning 35 today, i couldn't help but think about her words in miss americana, and how women eventually fall out of favour and their success slows as society can no longer tolerate them; they are, as taylor puts it, deposited in an "elephant graveyard" by the age of 35.

at the age of 35, tay has just wrapped up the highest grossing tour of all time, a tour that consisted of over 3 hour long concerts, 11 eras, harking back to her prodigal debut and welcoming newcomers onto the stage for the very first time.

constantly refining not only her song-writing, but also her performance, her directing, her acting, her vocals, her visuals, her eras, taylor is at the peak of her career and will continue to break this cycle of women being disposable shiny toys for the media to bore of. she is breaking the norm, the preconceptions even perceived and accepted by herself. from sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes, she gave her blood, sweat and tears for this 🎶

taylor is making history not only in sales and streams but through her ever-growing success as a female artist. i wish her all the happiness in the world however that may illustrate itself for her✨
