The first part of the Marathon takes place crossing the Verrazano bridge. I started at the very front of tbe 4th wave so there were not too many runners in front of me, you couldn't see the end of the bridge and it was eerily quiet save for the sounds of soles hitting pavement and breath expelled in a crazy random beat. I didn't know what was coming next but I felt grateful to be there. #nycmarathon2015 #newyork #verrazano #statenisland #running
