I have done everything physically possible to remove storage from my phone to install the new love and deepspace update without deleting literally everything. I have 128gb on my phone and only very small 1.5gb or less chatting applications besides lads so I’ve just deprived myself to make room for lads. Theres is literally nothing I can do so if I don’t find a solution this might be the abrupt and poorly timed end to my almost 3 year long love and deepspace journey.

If this is it then I’m going to seriously fucking miss playing this game, mainly because of Sylus. I’m gonna get mad fucking FOMO.

The amount of time, money and effort I’ve put into this game just to be fucked over like this is seriously the most upsetting thing ever. I hate all the drama and everything that has unfolded as of late so I guess if there’s any time to be forced to be rid of the game, now would be the optimum. Either way, I’m upset that this is the outcome.

Update I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it worked! I’m now trying to optimise storage on the game in literally every way possible so basically everything on the app is offloaded… 😅

This includes old memories, the photo booths, unicorns operation, abyssal chaos and most notably the home system. I really enjoyed it when it first came out but after a while I was just logging in, watering flowers and then logging off. As a way to combat the storage issues I was facing I just offloaded it for ease and unfortunately ,despite the new kitchen update, it will probably be forced to stay that way.

While I was originally interested and liked the look of silent whispers, I quickly revoked that opinion once I saw Alarik. The game looks detailed and i really was considering playing it until I saw him. What confuses me is that love and deepspace players are allowing the developers of silent whispers to get away with blatant plagiarism out of frustration towards Infold. I absolutely do not stand for that regardless of how great the game looks and that’s why I won’t support its development. He has the same mannerisms, character build/design and parlance as Sylus so despite the sheer upset I feel towards Infold, I will not stoop to support the lack of creativity and plagiarism silent whispers is promoting (in my opinion).

The worst part is the game itself looks beautiful and some of the mechanics and gameplay aspects I have seen look incredible, I’m just frustrated that they couldn’t have created a more diverse character that doesn’t look exactly like a very prominent love interest that is already present in another piece of media. While I don’t support what Infold is promoting as a company, I will also not be supporting silent whispers.

Imagine if Infold canceled Caleb that quickly because of how controversial he was on release? Is it really that easy for toxic ass people to influence this company? That's unsettling...

This is what’s confusing me more than anything. A Grown group of adults changing major plot points and updates to the game despite there always being at least some good reception. Give it chance for crying out loud

Please don’t stay quiet about your opinions and issues with the company. This isn’t just about the removal of a character and all the hard work put into this release but about all the prior and reoccurring issues regarding the company. No more staying quiet lads community, it’s about time we finally address these issues properly.

And for those who have officially quit love and deepspace with this being their finally straw, we all support you and understand you completely. I’m still debating whether to stop playing or not because Valko was seriously intriguing to me to the point where I started grinding again for his character. I’m upset by this predicament so let’s do all we can to make the company take accountability for their actions. I’ve dedicated a lot of time and effort to this game and it will be hard to quit but this truly is the final straw.

The chances of his character being released are likely small due to the decision being officially posted they likely won’t go back on their word. Additionally, the voice actor (or at least I would hope) won’t stand for this treatment which further decreased the chances of his return.

Despite the complaints regarding the character being revoked I’d also like to say that Infold stating that until further notice there will be no new love interests is utterly duplicitous. There has always been 6 slots and has always been a coming soon button, so what’s with the switch up?

Personally, I wasn’t considering ever getting involved with another love interest but Valko truly caught my eye which upsets me more now that he’s being removed. Those who complained about there being another unknown love interest here is what I have to say

1. If you don’t like the idea of a new love interest, focus on your main! Nobody is forcing you to indulge in a new character.

2. Do not judge the new love interest before official release and even after release if you don’t particularly enjoy their character, that’s okay but let other people who do have the full experience without judgement.

3. Remember that people were also weary about Sylus and Caleb upon their release announcements and there was a lot of backlash (so it still confuses me that Valko is being cancelled) and they are now as loved as the originals.

4. Overall, appreciate the human effort put into the new release rather than always finding something negative over a new character rather than the actual company’s problems.

Many new and returning players were brought into the game through Valko so as a result I hope Infold sees the effect this will cause to their company and sales.

Cancelling my aurum pass, no company who doesn’t truly appreciate the players who helped build their game deserves a pence of my hard earned money.

I think this was the final nail in the coffin. I'm quitting LaDS. Idgaf about what's coming up because it doesn't matter really.

All this shows is that CN side can also be xenophobic because wtf do you mean Valko looked too western? Sorry but like, not every LI needs to be "ethereal looking"? They said he was too tan, that he looked gay, that Infold was supporting same sex relationships in the game?

Like wow CN. And the fact that Infold caved to their petty demands. It just shows to me that Infold is also xenophobic, colorist, homophobic, and can't stand by their own principles. I can't support a company like that as a brown player. I'm not renewing my aurum pass nor am I spending money in game anymore.

I don't know if I'll stick around for Zayne and Caleb because as much as I love them, Infold sided with CN (I get it, home country blah blah) but siding with them also means they don't gaf about theirs global fan base, many of whom wanted a darker skinned LI, one who was quite clingy and touchy feely, and was a wolf.

I hate everything about this and fuck everyone who supported this decision or made this happen. Hope ya'll are happy. All this does is remind me that if any of the LI'S were real and they were CN, they'd reject people like me because of my skin tone.

I agree wholeheartedly. While I’m still on the fence about quitting I am seriously considering it. The reception to their problems isn’t just lazy but downright disrespectful to the community. Why should we be punished for YOUR mistakes Infold.

I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t fully read the information before getting a little heated but, what’s going to happen to Valkos voice actor?

I feel so bad for the poor guy he was probably so excited to be involved in a game of this size just to be thrown under the bus like this. I hope they utilise his abilities elsewhere or I hope he gets much better opportunities in other projects entirely.

Infold revoking the launch of Valko tells me everything I need to know.

I completely understand the criticism some fans had about his character and they were all valid but rather than tweaking these issues (lighting and rendering and whatever) they just… get rid of him?

I was genuinely so excited for his release and have been eagerly counting down the days and they pull this shit?

They use the excuse that the reception they received was negative however it was only a percentage because guess what, no matter if you made the most incredible update mobile gaming has ever seen, people will still complain! They could have stood their ground and showed that they work hard and that the character was well made or show that they are a good company by listening to criticism and fixing any mentioned issues but instead they throw in the towel and just say nah sorry.

Frustrated doesn’t even begin to touch how I feel regarding this situation.

Infold, fix your behaviour because we are all getting tired of your money hungry, lazy regime that continuously doesn’t take accountability or respect the communities wishes.

Even if you weren’t particularly fond of Valko you have to admit, this was 100% the wrong move. The part of the community who were eager for his release (me included) are now insanely disappointed and aggravated by this decision.

I was a little unsure of Valko when they dropped the 40 second teaser, but after his full character trailer tonight, I think he is a contender for my main LI lol. I hope the part of the LADs community that seems to hate him give him an actual chance because he seems really fun

Same here! He’s definitely interesting me more than I thought the new sixth LI would so I’m happily surprised. I wholeheartedly agree and hope the rest of the community who don’t like him eventually let him grow because he’s so silly looking and cute 😅

I feel like the lads community hasn’t been very well receptive to the introduction of Valko. This obviously doesn’t apply to everyone but personally, I find his design to be intriguing and I’m excited to see exactly what his relationship with mc will look like. However, people aren’t even giving him chance to have any personality before judging him for whatever reasons they can find which, in my opinion, is utterly pathetic. Some were like this when Sylus was introduced and subsequently when Caleb was introduced and have grown to like them as characters so, by default, would you not feel the same about Valko? (By this I mean not judging so hastily) At least give the man a chance for goodness sakes.

Now I do understand that there are other issues at hand that need to be addressed about Infold but everyone was raving about the sixth love interest and now aren’t happy with what they have “received”. (I say with a pinch of salt because AHEM he’s not in the game yet bruh) He’s incredibly attractive, a little dark and once again, hasn’t had chance to properly show us who he is yet.

Either way, I’m really pumped about this new inclusion into the game (no not because he reminds me of bangchan…) and I’m ready for all the Valko hate to be steadily proven wrong.
