How Do You Know Someone Is The One? (x)
Amen!
I have nothing more to say. I've spent my everyday for you. I find joy with that. Again, you leave me hanging. You always do that. You are just happy but you didn't ask what will be my happiness.
This is an incredibly important lesson to learn.
To love must include truth, wisdom, and boundaries. Sometimes it means distance. It means knowing when to rest and recharge and to embrace our limits. It always means to have grace for yourself, too.
For those who have been abused or traumatized: Forgiveness does not mean friendship. No one must ever be rushed into forgiveness. Not for trying to look like the âbigger personâ or âbecause itâs the right thing to do.â We need to recognize patterns of unrepentant abuse and gaslighting and manipulative language that will only guilt-trip back into a vicious cycle. We can never mindlessly open the door again on an abusive relationship. You have the right to say âno.â
To love is not enabling, pampering, coddling, or letting someone off the hookâor it wouldnât really be love at all. Thereâs a way to help others that really hurts them because it only feeds into their harmful patterns. Walking away from someone is sometimes the most gracious thing you could do for them.
The idea that âloving people enough will change themâ is not a bad ideaâbut itâs only half an idea, informed by romanticized, reckless cliches of Hollywood montages and high-fives that never reveal the ugliness of real love. Yes, it looks appealing to âredeem the villainâ and I do believe that even the most evil person can be redeemed. But unless the abuser admits itâs abuse, youâre only reinforcing their position. To make yourself a martyr, to say this is âsacrifice,â is so often just an illusory daydream of being a hero, a rescuer, a savior, built on a guilt trip that you have to âlove no matter what or else youâre bad.â Iâm telling you: love must make people free, and that includes you too.
I do believe God can redeem the abuser and oppressor. But God is foremost for the victim, the abused, the oppressed, the despondent, the neglected and rejected. God is for you.

In a Field of DAISIES, I Still LOOK to THE LORD & KNOW I AM { BLOOMING } In My OWN TIME âŠ.
This can be a considerably difficult thing to do, especially if you truly care about the person. But at the end of the day, relationships take commitment from both parties. If they arenât adding to you and your happiness, let go.Â
Note to self
SHE DIDNâT JUST TALK ABOUT â JESUS â SHE LOVED LIKE HIM. LET THEM SEE YOU { JESUS } IN ME âŠ.
Youâve made it through so many falls before! Youâll make it through this fall too, even if it seems like a long one. đđ

âI love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way than this: where I does not exist, nor you, so close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.â
â Pablo Neruda, excerpt from Sonnet XVII (I Do Not Love YouâŠ)
I was so blessed with what one person in my life told me, âLife is like the Voiceâs Blind Auditions, you must choose which voices youâll turn your chair to. You must choose the VOICE which matters, and thatâs Godâs.â People will tell you mean stuffs, things which are not true, things which are hurtful, but you must not heed their voices. Heed Godâs for He knows the real you, He knows your capabilities and He knows the great things that you can do.
God loves you. God cares for you. He will always be there for you. And I want you to press that button only on Him âHe is the only Voice that matters.
LISTEN HERE! Having a âgood dayâ in a sea of bad ones does not make you a faker. Your brain might be telling you youâve been weak up until now, because you donât feel SOOOOO bad today, but that just ainât true! Itâs ok to enjoy the good days if they happen, you donât owe anyone an explanation. Some days are better than others, thatâs just a fact.
