when we got back we were all pooped from the morning. it was our free day so we were planning stuff for later that night so a bunch of people went to their rooms to nap. i was hanging out with alex and sean and i was lying on seans bed really far down with my legs on the spinny chair. he scooted over and asked me if i wanted some pillow so i moved up next to sean and he began flipping through his ipad photos of his family and telling me all about them. it was genuinely interesting and fun to see where he comes from. i dont remember much but all i know is that we both somehow fell asleep on his rock hard bed and then later around 3ish maybe a bunch of people came in and turned the lights on and yelled and jumped on all the beds. it was horrible, all i remember is rhyans voice being really loud and not wanting to wake up (071616)

the ride home was also fun because sean and i rode on the back of the songtaew for most of it. in the picture im titanic-ing and it felt wicked cool and you just felt so free on the back. it felt like you werent attached to anything and it was just you and the air and the road. while we were on the back sean was holding a water bottle and he gave it o someone and then somehow it ended up getting passed to my hands so for half of the ride i was holding seans random water bottle and didnt really know what to do with it haha. the middle right picture is one of my favorite pictures (071616)

back onto the songtaew, on the way back home and we are hit with such pretty land. there were hundreds trees planted in hundreds of rows and rice fields and random (g/c)ows and it was all just beautiful (071616)

after we went exploring more and found some really cool view spots and a cute little vender that sold a lot of scented oils. I've found that all the random outside tables and benches are really bright and colorful. in the greenish water swampy stuff there was an alligator just hanging out and when he went underneath, another one simultaneously rose out of the water right next to him. really weird (071616)

after the show they let us put the snakes around our necks and purchase polaroids of us with the snakes. it felt super weird, like a cold dry kind of slimy thing that moved in certain ways. you could feel the muscles in it when it moved and the one rhyan had tried (successfully) to go up her dress (071616)

the snakes were awesome!! in the middle of the show dziyana and i went to go find the bathroom (which was the woods) so apparently we missed a little boy doing tricks with the snakes but it was still crazy. at the end the guys put the snakes in their mouths and in their pants, i felt bad for the snakes

the next morning we took a songtaew to the snake village. really pretty scenery along the way (071616)

after have a break, luca and thalia came to emily and my room to hang out. sean and i were still occasionally sending snaps of inanimate objects with big racks. luca started to be luca and emily wanted to go to sleep so we moved to lucas room. we watched the movie deadpool because luca loves deadpool until a program leader came for curfew call. we only saw the first six minutes but they were a good first six minutes and i will one day watch all of the minutes (071516)

still unsure why this video is sideways and still unsure how to make it not sideways but whatever. we went to have a break on the way home (surprise, surprise) and sean and i split something. it was either the melty brownie thing or the cookie pot thing. either way, it was really good. tonight was the night sean and i became really close. we sent back and forth snapchats, while sitting shoulder to shoulder right next to each other of random things with boobs drawn on them, sometimes they were people, sometimes it was food, and sometimes they were pugs. because the pugs were evERYWHERE. basically every thirty seconds someone would start randomly laughing their ass off and then the other person would join in because they knew they were laughing at the snapchat they just opened. then they would proceed to look around the room, take a somewhat sketchy picture of something while laughing, draw a little (or big) thing or two, and send it. rinse and repeat. everybody else at the table was completely lost and so confused why every other second sean and i would scream with laughter. their confusion and mild anger (fake anger) made everything a million times funnier (071516)

on the walk home we spotted a huge group of thai students playing a volley ball game so we stood outside the court and watched them for a while. the light from the court made a cool shadow effect so we made sean model it, cute kid. we left the volleyball show after some girl got knocked in the face with the ball and we ran into good ole reliable 7-11. got a melon milk for the night and i only got teased a little bit (a lot, but whats new). but screw them! theyre missing out! we left the same way we came, in vans that hopefully brought us back to where we came from. the lights were even better at night, this was the view from the vans while driving away. from crocs to art to pizza to friends, overall an awesome night (071516)

but we didnt go to the mall just to get lost between all six floors or to look at wall art, we went for food. katherine and someone else had gone a few days earlier and told us there was a really good pizza place there so we were in. on the way there, we passed a ramen shop and decided to check out there instead. after looking at the menu, half of us straight booked it for the pizza place. unfortunately i didnt take any pictures of the pizza place or of the people i was with during this moment but i can write about it instead. on one side of the table sat alex, emily, and thalia. the other side was me and sean and an empty seat. we ordered two pizzas and expected to share them all but then they brought out two head sized pizzas and we were all a little lost. i couldve used one of these as a face mask it was so small. we ate them anyway and they sucked but we were so hungry we thought they were crafted from god's hands himself. we spent probably an hour and a half in that place just talking and laughing our asses off. constant tears from laughing too hard blinded me. i cant even remember what we were talking about except the story of the first night we stayed in bangkok when sean met alex. alex came in with the later group so sean was already in his room when he heard alex knock and he was like Oh great! My roommate! so he opened the door with a smile that soon turned into an even bigger, way more shocked, jaw dropping-eyes widening smile to see that alex was black. and sean meant in no way for it to be racist or anything, he just didnt expect a not-white guy because alex wasnt in the group chat and all the guys in the group chat were all rather light skinned. for the rest of the trip we imitated sean and it continues to be one of the funniest things i remember from the trip. too freakin funny. after a lot of jokes and stories and debating on whether we should order more food (???) we ended up checking the time and realizing that we had to meet back with the rest of the group in about ten minutes. we unknowingly spent the whole night just sitting and talking! we had no time to go explore the six floor mall! it hit us but we thought about it and none of us cared. that night was when i truly felt comfortable with the people i was with and knew that everything would be fine, great even. and it was. the photo above is of everyone who went to the mall. left to right goes luca, thalia (bottom), jack (top), emily, alex, angie (bottom), shree (top), jackie (bottom), sean (top), ani, me, and katherine. what a bunch of weirdos (071516)

another weird but interesting thing about this mall was all the art. bright, colorful, cartoon art filled almost every wall and it was super fascinating to look at (071516)

heres a video of the mall, it has five above ground floors and one underground floor. it has SIX floors!! i have never seen anything like this, everyone was in awe. there were escalators and elevators and tvs and electric signs everywhere and it was so overwhelming but so cool (071516)

okay so this mall was crazy pants. you walk in and immediately are blindsided by an entire crocs store and it takes you ten minutes to fight your inner turmoil and decide if you definitely dont wanna go in or you definitely do wanna go in. to sum it up, its a pretty rough first ten minutes. but nonetheless youre still super excited about the crocs store. even the boys were excited about it (071516)

after class that day when everyone recovered from the physical and emotional stress of the fly swatter game, we decided to go to the mall! we walked to the place near the university that had vans that would take you places and we all piled in one and somehow successfully ended up at the central plaza mall. the outside of it was crazy, the colors changed every other second in a rainbow effect. too cool. wait until you see the inside (071516)

we had thai class today with ajaan joong and she is wonderful. great teacher and great person. thai is hard, the actual words arent so bad but remembering their english translation is the wORST. after teaching, she set up the fly swatter game for us. every spanish classroom knows the fly swatter game too well, sean is a second alibi for this statement. we split into two groups and they were even so we decided to face the same person each time. my team consisted of ani, luca, me, and emily. the other team was shree, luca, morgan, and dziyana. shree and ani were both really good at the game so they continuously went flying into the board and slamming into one another. sean was decent at thai but luca only really knew what chicken was so his strategy was to watch sean and try to get wherever he was going before he did. this one time his trick was to just full on grab sean and hold him to prevent him from getting anywhere near the board. everyone was laughing and screaming. sean tried to reach over luca and pull him over to one side of the board before spin-moving the other way out of lucas hold and slamming into the board and hitting the right word. ajaan joong was screaming and laughing and we were screaming and laughing and it was such a good moment. when class was over we soon discovered that in the other classroom, jack put his foot through the wall. the fly swatter game is no joke (071516)
