We’re all very familiar with the “Prehistoric Planet” DLC or as I like to call it, “Relica.” I’d like to share a very interesting theory of mine.
Namely... Why is there a field in the short animation that was also on Earth?
Is this a developer error, or a hint that Relica is one of those asteroids that could have been colonized?
Why did I think that? Because I don’t think this is all just a coincidence, and it might be connected to the deaths of Higby, Maya, and B412.
Why these three? Then who could have left the research sector in the middle of the Relica?
So, I have three theories as to why these three died.
That’s the most logical explanation, but of course the question remains: how come the Dublicants haven’t been eaten yet, or something like that.
2. A catastrophe occurred
Anything is possible; the planet might have been unstable, causing the climate to change or something else.
The reason I’m writing this theory.
When Higby, Maya, and B214 were on the planetoid, they realized danger was approaching. There may have been other staff members there as well, but the fact remains. They tried to save Relica. But unfortunately, they failed, and they perished along with the Destroyed Planet. Then why is the planet intact when we play?
The answer, though crazy, is possible.
It is precisely because of this and the broken timeline that the event repeated itself. That is, the planet was destroyed, but because of everything, time rewound, and now we’re back in the same situation.
Another 200 cycles until the catastrophe.
The event simply repeated itself. What repeated was that the duplicants will have to go through again what their Donors couldn’t get through.
