This guy put me through a lot this weekend. I feel like I’ve been through a triathlon or finals week or a hurricane or whatever analogous experience that tests you mentally, emotionally, physically. And, well, we went through it together so it felt like a bonding experience. After each round of yelling, kicking and crying would emerge a sweetie pie wanting nothing more than to hug and kiss and caress me. It was intense. I feel blessed to be the one to be on this journey with him - and I feel way too old for this sh$t. Sending a big holler to all my people going through their own lightning storms in life. Life is far from perfect over here but it is good, rich soil for growing character and perspective. Covid, atmospheric rivers, busted pipes, flooded basement, ailing family too far away.
