this may or may not come as a surprise to anyone but i’m going to be on hiatus for the foreseeable future. i really thought about it a lot and i just don’t have free time to dedicate to rp right now. i hate it and feel absolutely awful because i feel like i’ve strung people along about replies and making a multi and such. genuinely, i did plan to do all of those things and i sincerely wish i had the time to do so. but life just keeps getting in the way. i’ll also be moving in with my grandmother to be her primary caregiver, so that is where most of my focus will be for the time being. genuinely love and appreciate every single one of you!! the amount of love i’ve felt as an oc writer is incredible and i care so much for all of you. i will definitely hop back on here once my life settles down, but absolutely don’t feel bad about softblocking or anything like that!! do whatever you need to have the best rp experience possible!! <33

work is a big yikes again because my supervisor and her supervisor are both on vacation this week but i did get blessed with caleb’s bday card within the first 10 pulls so <33

i'm actually a little obsessed with how my multi carrd is looking so far!

#i know i said i wasn't going to do a lot of graphics for my multi but uhhhhhh i lied #i'm doing a different type of page for each muse/show/game/etc #so this is just one section that's supposed to look like a hospital website #which??? i'm not 100% happy with it but i am satisfied so

thinking about things that i want to change to give tess more storyline possibilities going forward and the idea of her father having victims that were never found and tess is trying to find them + get closure for their families while also hiding the fact that she played a part in their deaths has a chokehold on me

#also i think i'm going to just make it simpler and have her be a journalist??#her specialty is in photojournalism ofc and her dream job is still a wildlife photographer #but photojournalism is so niche and a shrinking job market #and honestly it'd both be so depressing (and kinda realistic??) that she can't make a living off her preferred hobby #i love love love that i write tess mostly in her era where she's actually working on healing #but i want to rough her up some more and make her life a little worse <33 #also!! healing isn't linear!!! and has no set time frame!!!!#so i want to incorporate the feeling of making one step forward and then being shoved two steps back #because that's genuinely what it feels like at times

#so happy because that's the first resi game i ever played <33 #because it was the only one my cousin had for some reason??#did we ever beat it?? nope but it was soooooo important to me getting into video games #i absolutely lost my mind over claire #because at that point the only games i'd ever seen where girls were the player character were barbie or princess games #claire was so so so important to me growing up!!!!#so much so that my puppy is named after her <33

i love tess wright sm and when i finally have time to write again i want to lean more into her secrecy and tendency to manipulate. i just think it's so interesting that she has good intentions but she will play dirty to achieve a desired outcome. like yes she will ultimately be doing a good deed but she will lie and cheat and steal to get there. yes, she has ulterior motives that are morally good but she's not going to tell you about them and will fool you into believing she's incompetent because that makes people stay, right? when they feel needed by someone, then they don't leave? but she also doesn't justify her lying either. she won't tell you that the ends justify the means, because she knows that they don't. but she believes she's a terrible person anyway, so why not do some good even if it requires some immoral stepping stones to get there? better her do it than someone else. she's already rock bottom so she doesn't have to stoop as low as another person would . . . and it all circles back to her self-sacrificial nature. putting herself on the line physically and/or morally so that someone else doesn't have to.

i just know that everyone who knows tess calls her up whenever there's a snake/turtle/lizard/raccoon/whatever in their house or yard because she'll sigh dramatically and complain about it but she'll also catch it flawlessly in two seconds like it's no big deal

#she's also the type of person to try and show the animal off to you even if you're clearly freaked out #(she's actually probably more insufferable about trying to get you to touch it if you're scared)#this is def inspired by the absurd number of turtles that end up in my dog's pen #she thinks they're the spawn of satan too omg she HATES turtles and they've never done a thing to her jdklghdfs #but my mom is terrified of them so i'm always the designated turtle catcher <33
