Watercolour painting from my sketchbook. This is watercolour painting that I made based on a photography that I saw on magasine (I don’t really saw where this island is placed , but I found I pretty cool  ) . I decided to first make a fast sketch with a pigment liner 0.05 mm and 0.2-0.4 for the shadings . Then afterwards I start to filled with watercolour painting . For the water I decided to change a little bit from the photo that I was using as reference since I wanted to keep that colourful felling from my painting . I didn’t want to fill everything , I like how « unfinished » it looks cause it makes us wondering what is beyond this island :))

Sketch-book Sketches of different cities, made with an ink pen . I’m starting to learn how to make different forms, shadows with an ink pen by making several little draws . On each one I didn’t put many attention on little details, just made the over view of the different cities and then I work with several lines trying to accomplish the exact shadow that I see . By making many drawings on a single page that let me see my evolution and , for me, it makes it more interesting, it feels like I’m traveling on a single blank page . www.myminimaldraws.tumblr.com

Watercolor painting from a palace called "Mateus Palace" located at Vila Real in Portugal. This palace is know as well by "Solar" or "Casa de Mateus". His name is internationally famous due to the wine Mateus Rosé income therefrom. Is consider the best representation of baroque architecture in Portugal as well. This property belonged in 1720 to Antonio José Botelho Mourão , the third of the Morgado de Mateus and his construction works were only finished in 1950 already by the hands of D.Luís António Mourão , his son. Although isn't 100% sure, according to Robert Smith the work should have been the authorship of Nicolau Nasoni.

This is the 9th most populous urban area in the Europe Union and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It was the most-bombed Italian city during the World War 2 . Much of the city's 20th century periphery was constructed under Benito Mussolini's fascist government . In recent decades Naples has constructed a large business district ( Centro Direzionale) and has developed an advanced transport infrastructure and an expanded subway network. Watercolour painting from a city called Setúbal located on the northern of the Sado River estuary and the seat of the Setúbal District. In the beginning of the 20th century Setúbal was the most important center of Portugal's fishing industry, particularly sardines. Tourism is based on the beautiful natural conditions plus excellents hôtels, resorts and infrastructures. One of the city's most appreciated resources due to its interconnection with a river called Sado and the Atlantic Ocean.

Watercolor painting from a city and municipally called Guarda located in the district of Braga and the center region.

Guarda is the highest Portuguese city, situated at the last northeast's foothill of "Serra da Estrela" .

At the ferry level the city of Braga has the train line of Beira Alta in which is completely electrified allowing the circulation of regional trains being the main railway line for the transport of passengers and merchandises for the center of Europe.

Watercolor painting from a city and a municipaly called Braga located in the Northwestern of Portugal. Is placed between mountains, forests, grand valleys, plains and fields, constructing natural spaces, molded by human intervention.

Braga is the seventh larger municipal in Portugal which was considered as the European Youth Capital in 2012 . 

Is the host to the archdiocese, the oldest in Portugal.

Another watercolor painting from a city called Faro located on south of Portugal. 

On this painting we can see the kind of architecture and how the city is build on this town (as in many towns at Portugal). 

It consists on building a city with large free spaces, always with warm colorful colors and nature involved . It gives the city a more energizing place.

 I personally like this painting because of the colors involved. The yellow color it reminds me the sun on those warms and nice days which makes feel relaxed.

Watercolor painting from a city called Vila Real the capital of Vila Real District located in Portugal. 

It was the third Portuguese city to receive public energy supplies and the first to produce  hydro power at 1894.

Nowadays Vila Real is living  an increasing development phase at the industry , commercial and services level with emphasis on health, teaching, tourism, etc..

Watercolor painting from a district called Viana do Castelo located in the North region of Portugal. The population took up of this area  during the Mesolithic era, from discoveries and archaeological excavations.  In the 16th century, its port gained great importance as one of the entry-points for Portuguese explorers and traders, involved in the Portuguese discoveries. Many of the historical buildings originated during this period.

Watercolor painting from a city called Elvas in Portugal. This is the biggest  city located at Portalegre’s district on the Alentejo region. Elvas was the most important stronghold on the portuguese border, the most fortified city in Europe, having been nicknamed "Queen of the Frontier". She has the largest set of fortified fortifications in the world (the walls of Elvas).

Watercolor painting from a picture which have been taken in Portugal on a city called Santarém that is placed on a region called Alentejo however it belonged to an old  province called Ribatejo. This city was colonized by the Romans in 138 B.C, which have became the main commercial warehouse of the middle Tejo and a seat of a convent .  With the invasions of the Alans and the Vandals it became “Santa Ira”, which derives from the current name Santarém.
