My Leopard Gecko’s Great Joys in Life:

-laying in his water dish, head rested on the brim, to sleep

-sleeping directly underneath the dull but intense glare of his IR night light

-deliberately NOT doing both of the above simultaneously (I.e., if I put his water right under said night light, he would refuse to sleep there specifically to spite and dishonor my efforts)

-curling up inside of his faux-coconut shell like a dragon inside a castle tower

-studying his mealworms for so long that they have plenty of time to run away & are hiding before he even moves toward where I placed them for him

-staring at me through the glass at night while I lie in bed, with an expression that might as well be saying, “sooOoOOooOnNnNn…”

-getting high man (climbing to the tallest part of the terrarium decorations, currently a fake tree attached to a giant rock decoration that bisects the tank)

-pooping always and only in the crack between the back wall of his rock cave and the side wall of his tank

-crawling up my sleeves when i hold him, lodging himself in the lil pouch under my armpit where I can’t get him out, and staying up there for an inconvenient and frankly worrying length of time

-blep 😛
