SPOILERS? As I'm sure you know I'm a huge fan of Steven Universe. The last episode had a character called "Peridot". I used to work at a national gem/jewelry TV shopping channel, and for seven years I sold PER-EYE-DOUGH gemstones. Apparently I've learned that both: "peridoe" and "peridot" are acceptable. Jewelry tradespeople tend to use the former. Americans like to use the latter as the gem is mined in Peridot, Arizona." Either way, I've learned something, and per-I-dot sounds weird to hear. Let me bask in my stubbornness.
So now that I have all of my tour duties taken care of, I'm locking myself up in the studio for many days. You guys might not hear of me for a while, but you know how to find me if you need me.
New Music Video "Card Key". Finishes up the video world trilogy, and you see what pretty much happens to me on the 3rd installment (not that it was a big shocker or anything).

New trans* album in the works.
I've been debating this for a while now, but I just had another website share "My Parents Favorite Music drops his latest music video". Since talking about the subject only goes so far (or nowhere), I've decided that I'm going to use MPFM as a platform to spread awareness about trans/queer gender & sexuality issues. I'll be recording an EP regarding the very real struggle people like myself have to face every day. At first I didn't want to do this for a few reasons. I didn't want people to think that I'm pandering, or that it's forced. And they would be correct on both counts. I pander to nerds every day with my music, and nobody seems to mind with that, this isn't any different. Plus I've been writing about more personal issues and I'm more proud of that than I ever can be for "KOOOOOOL-AIIIIIIID". And yes it's forced because I can't keep quiet about these things anymore. There's just too much content to write about and I don't see too many people (there are a few) writing about these topics. So I'll write this one with the hopes that I can educate people on the subject from my personal experience the only way I know how, and maybe something will come of this. I mean, something has to be done and I can't just sit around when I have this opportunity. I might not be an authority on this or any subject, but I'm better than anybody else at being Steffo, and people seem to like that story so far.

The sample I used for my recent song "Regen" was from a Famicom (Japanese NES) video game that honestly I'm sure 99% of people hadn't heard before. It was the reason I used the track in the first place. I tracked down the original composer of the sample. His name is Kenichi Kamio. He has composed music for video games, TV, and movies since the 1980s.
I sent him a copy of the song to verify he was in fact the composer of this obscure sample from yesteryear, and today I had received this message back from Kenichi's agent:
"Hello,

Exactly , he created "Bakushou Jinsei Gekijou 3" .

Thank you." I always worry about using samples, and people saying that my songs aren't original. But I think about this the way people perceive the skateboard. Before the skateboard, there were surfers that took rollerskate wheels and attached them to small surfboards so they didn't need an ocean and a wave to be able to skate. It wasn't a surfboard, or a rollerskate, but I would say it's safe to say that it's popularity has surpassed it's parent creations. My songs are just a new version of two old things.
So between the previous nod of approval I had received from the crew that makes the cartoon "Steven Universe", and now this, if I had any doubt about myself and what I do previously, I really need to curb it and enjoy what I'm doing.
Just finished the code for the tumbr. It looks a lot better now and I'm happy with the result. So I'm posting a picture of the tumblr on the tumblr.
