Varian is not only the leader, but also the muscle of the group, since he's the strongest.

Oh he's the strongest, but tbh in my own interpretation of the character I don't see him really making use of that strength too often? Like I feel he'd be more inclined to invent stuff to do less physical work, and he's not a fighter (regarding one-on-one physical fights, at least + in general all the stuff with his past making turn to violence as a last resort thing) so it doesn't come of use in these scenarios either. (although he's incredibly resistant (see: took black rocks to the face and kept singing))

However it's useful when he has to set up camp, or to pick one of the team members up as the group is running away from yet another threat.

Could you maybe draw a picture of Varian lifting Hugo, Nuru and Yong off the ground in a big bearhug?

I'll keep that idea in mind! ^^

But atm I don't feel like I have good enough of a grasp on the characters to be able to A) draw each and every one of them (still working on getting Nuru to look like she's supposed to look) and B) draw them in a group hug which is a bit hard for me as I kinda suck at drawing characters interacting physically + it can't be done either way until I have gotten the hang of A).

Nevertheless, as I said, I will keep the idea somewhere in my mind, and when I do post the drawing I'll just put a screenshot of the ask to go with it. Anyways, thank you for suggesting it! :D

Do you know what the funny thing is?

Varian WILL have a late growth spurt and become a foot taller than Hugo.

I mean, while I love how fricking funny it would be for Hugo to become the smaller one... I just, love short king Varian. He's a little angry ball of a man who *will* carry people way taller than him over his shoulder like big ol' haystacks.

People underestimating him because of his height and then being shocked that this guy is actually to be taken seriously, smarts and strength wise, is also a lot of fun to play around with.
