🍾ANNIVERSARY 🥳 • 2 years of marriage 2 moves across the country 2 churches planted 1 baby (and only 1 praise the Lord) • We’ve been going nonstop and crazy since day one. Here’s a cute picture of Theo to get your attention so I can tell you when we’re moving! Michaela and Theo’s last day in SF will be August 21st. I’m flying them out to ATL with her parents the next day, then I’ll be back until the 26th and start the solo drive across the country! Michaela’s last Sunday with Vive will be the 18th and mine will be the 25th. So if anyone wants to spend some time with us before we head out let me know! Alright fam, we’ve got some pretty big news to finally/officially announce... WE’RE MOVING (again). This is really a bittersweet announcement. Mostly because I don’t want to leave the Bay Area. I love SF. Every aspect about living here (except the cost obv) is absolutely amazing. It’s been my goal to live here and do ministry since I was 18. We finally got out here, and now we need to take a step back. A part of it is definitely a financial burden, but the decision is stemming for what is best for our family. Michaela and I got married, moved to SF, and had Theo all in less than a year. Theo was 100% unplanned haha. With being so far away from family, being new parents, and having this financial burden... the best thing for our family to do is to take a step back, get things in line, and reevaluate. If anyone wants more details on anything feel free to shoot me a DM so we can talk 🤙🏼 This decision hurts. It hurts so damn much. I’ve actually cried about it multiple times, and expect to cry much more. It’s hard because it’s not what I WANT to do, but it is something that I NEED to do. It’s for my family, and you have to sacrifice for those you love. We have met some of the most amazing people while living out here. People who have invested in us, and helped us make SF home. I have an absolutely incredible job at a great company, with some of the best coworkers you could ask for. We have family out here who have been the BIGGEST supporters of us you could ever ask for. The hardest part of our goodbye is with @vive.church @vive.sf . They literally changed the game for us. I didn’t want to do ministry and be a pastor anymore until I walked through their doors. They became family faster than anyone ever in my life. They inspired, challenged, and gave me the tools to be a better man and father. One of our campus pastors was literally there when Theo was born! We have never been in lack due to their generosity, love, and acceptance. I love VIVE with everything that I am. I would gladly give anything to continue to build the Kingdom with them. I can shout out so many people I don’t think Insta would allow me to tag them all haha. But... YEAR 1 IN THE BOOKS! 🙌🏼❤️🔥 And what a crazy year it has been! We got married, left the next day to drive across the country to our new home in SF, both started new jobs (you had 2), got pregnant, HAD A BABY, moved into our own place after months of searching, helped plant a church, had God move us to a new church, and so so so many other major milestones. Needless to say, this has been a jam-packed, intense, and challenging year. But I have fallen more in love with you day by day. You’re the most amazing woman I have ever met, and the dreams God has awakened in your heart over the last year have been a blessing to see. I love you to the moon and back. Isn’t it funny how sometimes time moves at breakneck speeds, and other times it’s slower than watching paint dry? When time seems to be moving abnormally fast or slow, for me, it means I tend to be focusing on something in the future or the past, but not the present. I think we need to fight for being present in the current moment more. There are so many impactful moments we can miss. . We’re told to pray for our “daily” bread. Not bi-weekly. Not monthly. Not annually. But DAILY. So easy to forget, especially for a planner like myself. But I believe it is essential to realize this to really see the power of God move day in and day out in our lives.
