About this account: Hello! I’m a longtime plushie collector residing in Japan. I recently started getting into nuikatsu (ぬい活) and nuidori (ぬい撮り)activities.

Good morning! Today I’m meeting up w/some friends and seeing the Pokemon Astronomical Observatory exhibit being held in Kakuda Town, Miyagi!

From the website, it looks like there is some activity where you can throw poke balls on the moon and Umbreon may make an appearance!

Which is why I’m bringing my Umbreon plush and I am also wearing m Umbreon gear: a shirt from Uniqlo and socks from the Pokemon Center!

I’ll post pics and a video later this week!

After a very long journey from the US, the boys are finally here in Japan! I’m so happy! :D

They’re currently taking a well-earned rest in their futons atm.

From my hike in Zao!

Spent an amazing day hiking near Okama Crater in Zao, Miyagi Prefecture. Zao is also known for dairy products, hot springs, and their fox village. Hence why I brought my little fox along!

We made perfect timing with the weather, as by the time we were leaving a storm was rolling in. We ended the day at Togatta Onsen, which felt amazing after a long morning of hiking!

From my weekend in Kesennuma! Featuring Hoya Boya!

Ogerpon’s turn! A festival themed Pokemon deserves an opportunity to enjoy a festival, especially when it’s part of their story in the game. Kesennuma is also not too far from real life Kitakami City which is up in Iwate Prefecture!

Because of the rain & to make it easier to carry her since she’s bigger than my Hoya Boya plush, I put her in the bag that came with my Pokemon yukata set (which I wore later)!

Got to enjoy some fancy shaved ice, beer with friends over at BlackTide Brewing, taiko drums, a drone show, and some beautiful fireworks to close the festival!

From the Day 2 of my stay in Kesennuma. Went up to the newly constructed monorail at Oshima Island and rode it up to Kameyama Terrace. Despite the rain, the view was still lovely & I got to enjoy a coffee at the top.

Hello Hoya Boya! Kesennuma City’s mascot character!

Recently spent a weekend in Kesennuma, Miyagi, where I got to participate in the Hamarainya Dance and attend their annual Minato Matsuri (port festival).

A few pics from Day 1! My friend and I stayed at Hotel Ikkeikaku, which was very close to the festival venue.

I got to enjoy a sake tasting experience, ramen, and dancing in street in the pouring rain! And my little Hoya Boya plush got to meet Hoya Boya!
