Being close has nothing to do with distance or time. Some people living oceans away can touch you in ways a person sitting right next to you never will. Someone you've known for a short time whom you've physically never met, can know you better than someone you've lived with for decades. Because for some, "love" is merely physical. What does the word "Forever" mean? Well I could give you the dictionary definition and it would probably be accurate. Though I don't much care for textbook definition because I've come to realize that the words fall short of what is actually within my soul..

So, forever means something different to me. It means that I won't ever yearn for another in any context, not in conversation, body, mind, heart or soul. It means that no matter the hour of the day or night I will be here for you always in all ways albeit a 3am breakdown or a 3pm "I love you". It means that I won't let a day go by wherein your body isn't my entire desire, your satisfaction and orgasms my top priority. Forever means so many fucking things.. but to me it means just 1: Day in and day out, small moments or grand adventures, raising children or laughing until we are blue in the face, morning coffee or midnight drinks, nights underneath the stars and sunrises spent in each other's arms with passion in our lips. Forever means to me that you will be my every breath keeping me alive.

and so she took me around everywhere she went. the bakery, her walks to work, excited her rushing to the store for art supplies. everywhere. and i did too. my days out. every sunset i got to witness. every time something reminded me of her. the ocean. all for her. calling her just to hear her throughout the mundane, and sending each each other every little detail of our days… In the end that’s how you know you love someone, i guess. when you can’t experience anything without wishing the other person were there to see it, too.
