Heyo, Ali here, and welcome to my art blog! I post art here! I like drawing funny lizard people, dragons, and in general my ocs cause I always have brainrot. I post on sundays and some wednesdays, sometimes even fridays as well! Just depends how insane I am making art and clogging up my backlog.

Would Toothless and Daydream ever have offspring in your AU?

Basic answer; probably not.

More detailed answer; while I like that idea in part, Daydream (Ghostwaker) is a bit of a troubled dragon, that also did a lot of horrible things. Yes Grimmel abused her, yes he raised her to do these things, yes she is a dragon, but a dragon with human-ish level intelligence none-the-less. She's killed a lot of night fury's, other dragons, and innocent human beings. Once she was old enough to know what she was really doing she could have refused, but she didn't. Victims can also do bad things, so it feels strange for her to have that specific kind of ending after she spent most of her life until that point helping to kill other night fury's.

When she redeems herself by turning on Grimmel and killing him it brings in a lot of confusing and conflicting emotions for her. She, in a way, regrets it immediately after but is too late to save him (she pushes him off a cliff and he hits the rocks below instead of the water), and instead of immediately joining Hiccup n' friends she actually flies off into the distance and is not seen again for several years.

Eventually Ghost does return, seeking connection, but she never gets a rider, and still remains distant for the most part. Then of course she's named Daydream, but she never does respond to the name.

Toothless and Daydream become friends, but mates, I don't know. Maybe...? I'm not fully decided on it, but I usually lean on no. So, that means no toothless babies either, but here's a little drawing of baby Ghost instead, for your troubles:

The thingamajig

Genuinely another way they could play off of on. 'what if' hiccup comparison was to make the villain tame the dragon and use that knowledge to exterminate the village that rejected him.

It would be a very good way ti make him actually threatening, what if instead of taking that knowledge of dragons to show how they're not as monsterous as they seem, the 'hiccup' parallel would use it to punish everyone that ever shunned him for being the runt of rest of vikings.

The idea was stuck in my mind for a while and genuinely and I need someone to hear it.

See that would require some level of like actual psychopath behaviour from this alt version of Hiccup which is like. Less of a 'what if he went down this path' and more of a 'what if Hiccup was a psychopath' - especially if the conditions barely changed. At worst people said mean things to him from time to time, mostly the other teens. He didn't feel hate towards them either, he wanted to BE like them.

Though don't get me wrong, this is a fun idea! Like Grimmel but if you turned the heat up to 3000. I personally prefer the more mellowed version of him just being desperate to prove himself and also being pretty full of himself tbh lol.

My version of him has the added angle of becoming attached to his night fury, Ghostwaker (my light fury replacement oc). On a random note as well, I've been thinking of swapping the second and third film around. Kinda. Drago is a finale ending threat man, Grimmel is a wet noodle, and Ghost is more of a focus than him anyway.

I dunno. Most of this requires more thinking than I have time for. I'd rather be working on my original stories, but its fun to poke at sometimes.
