“Fantastic. Damn, the exploding animals were my favorite part!” James said with a laugh, “But, I see your point. And yes, definitely, dancing armours. Even Evans can’t deny that dancing and candy is good for people’s spirits.”
“Obviously we’d have to have a little night out in order to get all of the necessary goods,” he said, his grin brightening. “You doing anything particularly important tonight?”
He knew that Sirius didn’t, obviously, because then he’d have plans, too. But, now, the thought of sneaking out of the castle and into Hogsmeade, made James feel alive.
“I know, I know...” Sirius patted James’ shoulder. “We’ll leave that for another time, promise.” Perhaps they could try it out in one of their classes. Maybe potions. Seeing Slughorn’s face would be priceless.
“Yes, of course. We need our supplies, it’s for a good cause.” He said innocently. They were actually doing the school a favour by giving the students something to talk about that didn’t involve murder or rumours of war. “Let me see...” Sirius pretended to flip through the pages of a notebook, a frown of concentration in his brow. “Nope. My schedule is clear for tonight.” He smiled. “We can have our little escapade as soon as everyone else go to bed.”
