âGod, Iâm sick of this town,â Nadia murmured to herself. Her head whipped over to a figure approaching. âWhat?â she snapped.
siphonerkiaraâ:
The brunette was pretty and Kiara watched her for a second before she made her way across the bar. âI donât think weâre met, Iâm Kiara.â the only thing was she looked a little younger than Kia usually went for, barely legal it seemed. But there was something behind the eyes, an age, wisdom. // @nadiapet
Nadia smiled easily and reached out a hand. âWe havenât, Iâm Natasha.â She dipped her head to the side. âIâm Nadia.â The girl seemed sweet, but things were beginning to close in. Between the full moon and her mother not yet budging, the vampire was beginning to run out of time. She could always use a distraction, she supposed.
mysticismssâ:
HE WISH HE COULD USE THE LIQUOR AS AN EXCUSE for what he was seeing or at least what he thought he was seeing when he glanced down the bar to a face that was etched into the four corners of his memories. it couldnât beâŚand maybe he was cruel for thinking it but part of him hoped for it not to be. exhaling a long shaky breath alixandre took another swing of the bourbon in his glass as he stared at the shelves lined with liquor before him. when he heard her voice, that voice, it struck something within him and he was flooded an array of emotions. while alixandre of all people knew that his mother being alive was possible, he didnât want to believe it as the truth would bring him no solace. not now, anyways. âhiâŚ,â he said with partial questioning underlying his tone as he looked at the brunette. âthat would be an understatement.â especially seeing as he was practically dumbfounded and still in shock at the moment. the fact that she didnât recognize him wasnât surprising but still pained him nonetheless. out off all the years he spent when he was younger awaiting the day he would see her again, he never imagined it to be like this and furthermore didnât know what else to do aside from just play dumb until he could accurately piece together the right words without flipping out completely. ânatasha?â he repeated before nodding, offering a cordial yet reserved smile that he saw his father so commonly wore. it was the kind that made people think so highly of an individual who was the lowest of the low. ânice to meet you. iâm alex.â
Shivers trickled down her spine. The comforting feeling sheâd felt moments ago slipped away with the blink of an eye. Instead, she was replaced with the chill of icy memories. She finished her own glass. âPerfect timing,â she chimed. âLetâs get another round.â She flashed him a warm smile, but it was all fabricated. His smile, it had stopped her dead in her tracks. If she couldâve suffocated from lack of air, she might have. It reminded her so much late husband it made her sick. At first, the young man beside her seemed like the charming man whoâd stolen her away to a whole new land. Up close, even in his demeanour, it was striking. If she hadnât slit his throat herself, she wouldâve doubted his death. âSo Alex,â she began as the new drinks arrived. Nadia immediately availed herself of the drink. âWhere are you from?â She ran her tongue over the bottom of her lip. In her distress, a single drop had slid from her mouth to her lip. Her heart pounded. Nadia glanced around the room, in sudden need of new entertainment. She would chat a little while longer then leave. The kind of man sheâd seemed to be intrigued by would take her down the wrong path of memory lane. One with a sick and twisted end, all the more heinous because of how content it made Nadia. She looked back at him, but couldnât meet his eyes.

âshould i be offended that you think i sound like your aunt betsy, natasha?â matt teased, his smile growing as she turned around, as he saw the look on her face that never failed to astonish him. he dropped his arms for a moment, though soon he was reaching for her hand like a moth drawn to light, see an opportunity and take an opportunity. âyeah, we got a little distracted, didnât we?â
She laughed charmingly. âNot at all, aunt Betsy has such a lovely deep voice.â She tilted her head to the other side. âMy favourite aunt, one might say,â she joked. His stupid smile made her feel light and almost giddyâalmost. âThat we did.â She tucked her hair behind her ear and took his hand. She went up on her tip-toes and gave him a sweet, chaste kiss. âLetâs go for a walk,â she offered. They didnât need to be around people, in fact, itâd be easier for her if they werenât. This conversation was likely going to end in her compelling him, she didnât need any onlookers for that.

    â The dance was nice, â he mumbled behind a cup of coffee. Peter had run into Nadia at the Grill and invited her to sit with him. A decision he should have thought over more since he always seemed to be a ball of nerves around the woman. It wasnât just her looks, it was her entire personality that seemed to get to him for reasons he couldnât decipher. â Did you enjoy yourself? â He asked with a small smile.
âThat it was,â she smiled to herself. She shouldnât have gotten caught up dancing with Matt. He was a childish fancy. Nadia smiled at him, a more precise smile. âI did. It was very enjoyable. How about you? Were you paired up with someone awful?â She laughed. She liked Peter, but not enough for him to be a liability. âI managed to already snag my date, made it much simpler.â
@mysticismss  â ALEX
She peered at him from down the bar. There was something striking about him. The occasional glance intrigued herâeventually enough to even go over. His stature reminded her of her late husband, may his soul be restless forever. âHi,â she grinned, batting her eyelashes. âYou look like you could use another drink.â When she caught his eyes, Nadia felt almost like swooning. His eyes reminded her of home, of simpler times. âIâm Natasha,â she extended her hand to him.

( @nadiapet ) - &. nadia!
IN MORE THAN EIGHT CENTURIES the vampire had her fair share of experiences. some good, some bad and others that she tried to avoid thinking of. one would think that more than eight hundred years of living would help one to get it all right, but admittedly she wasnât perfect and still had her things to overcome; and some days more than others, she found herself pinned downed by thoughts of the past that still haunted her. this, admittedly had been one of those days. however, as the short-statured woman made her way through the town square, these thoughts temporarily evaded her as she gazed upon a familiar face that she hadnât seen in quite some time. almost instantaneously, a smile threaded into her features as she approached the younger vampire, ânadia?â she said, with a particular lightness to her tone. âoh! itâs been so long, i didnât expect to see you here of all places.â
It had been half millennium, the years sheâd seen change on this earth went by with blinks of her eyes. It seemed only yesterday Nadia could remember learning about her mother with wide eyes. How naive sheâd been about the world then. Thankfully, her eyes had been opened over the years and Nadia held no taste for blindness anymore. She needed to know as much as she could. It was exactly the reason, she hated been so thrown when she spotted her maker. âNari?â she echoed in disbelief. Nadia blinked a few times and broke into a smile. âOh my... it has been.â She shrugged. âFunny how time just slips away like that.â She waved off. âYes, well.â She stopped abruptly. âIt just seemed like so much fun,â she sighed. âThere are quite an unfortunate number of familiar faces if you know what I mean.â

 She gave a breathy giggle, with a large step forward, âDid you honestly think that would work? That Iâd just gamble my future on some stranger in cheap shoes, because they did their homework?â Katherine got in the otherâs face and grabbed the girlâs throat in her vampiric grip, uncaring of who saw.
â Do you think I canât tell that this has Klaus written all over it?â
Nadia was shocked to be attacked by her mother so quickly. Given her reputation, she shouldnât have been. Barely missing a beat to recover, Nadia ripped Katherineâs hand from her chest. âA high school student wonât go unnoticed if she wears her Jimmy Choos every other day.â She snorted. âOf course it has Klaus written all overâheâs part of the deal.â She raised an eyebrow. âNow, do I have to throw you around to get my answers or will to tell me where the moonstone is.â
I think manipulation is the greatest art of them all

Âť @nadiapet â NADIA & MATT ! â§
a smile spread across mattâs face as he spotted nadia outside the short line of shops in town. with her back to him, she reminded him even more of elena, but that was a thought that made him feel guilty. he approached her, carefully lifting his arms to cover her eyes with his palms, before teasing gently, âguess who?â
It wasnât as if she hadnât heard the person approach. She knew they were there, she just wasnât quite sure who. But his Virginian accented voice, she knew that well. She smiled. âOh my gosh, is that my aunt Betsy?â She spun around and tipped her head to the side. âMatt Donovan, long time no see,â she joked. Her heart clamped a little. She kept on postponing the inevitable. âIâm glad youâre here... we never did finish our talk.â

â á´á´á´Ę â â Katherine breathed out, walking over to the girl who had been staring at her since she had entered the square. âI donât know if your MOTHER taught you any manners, but itâs not polite to stare, itâs rude and quite frankly a little creepy, but luckily for you, Iâm in a not so kill-ey mood today so, what is it that you want?âÂ

Nadia was usually very good at being discreet. However, when it came to her mother, a mistake could potentially be made. She let the mother comment slip past her like a butter knife, dull cut if anything. âI want to offer you a deal. I need the moonstone. You get me that I guarantee your safety from Klaus. Still bothered by my gaze?â she asked cockily, flipping her bob over her shoulder.

THE MYSTIC GRILL SEEMS TO BE  where just about everyone flocks to on saturday nights , something that angelo hadnât expected when he arrived. still , he came for a drink , so he was going to get it. a few hours after arriving , heâs still sitting at the bar , glass in hand as he stares blankly in front of him. â thereâs not much to do around here other than get shitfaced , huh? â angelo says aloud to whoever it is that just sat beside him , referring to how small and seemingly boring the town seems to be. it pales in comparison to all of the places their pack has been , but their purpose here is much more important than being entertained.
Nadia took a swig of her drink and chortled. âYou got that right,â she grumbled. âThough sometimes something fun like a founderâs day ball happens and everyone gets trashed together.â She smiled dryly at the stranger. âThatâs fun too.â Although, her evening had been less than fun and more of a long night of business. She was glad itâd only been one night. âSome people also get laid to pass the time, but thatâs a whole other ball game,â she mumbled, not particularly directing it at the stranger. Her mind instead wandered off to Matt and a frown tugged at her lips.

Âť open â TAEYONG KIM ! â§
âhave you seen her? have you seen her?â taeyong was shoving fliers in peopleâs faces & asking everybody that passed if they had seen maya. he was so worried, heâd pretty much cried all night after he found out she was missing. he stood in front of the next passerby, stopping them in their path. he was getting desperate to raise awareness, to do anything to find out what happened to her. âhey! have you seen maya? sheâs the love of my life, please! please, she looks like this. please look.â he held the flier up in the personâs face.
Nadia hadnât expected to be stopped by Tay, let alone have a flyer to the face as a greeting. She lowered his hand and glared. âTaeyong Kim a hello would be appreciated first,â she growled. After a second, she took in his expression. She sighed. Who could stay mad at that? âTay, whatâs going on?â She gently touched his shoulder. âWhat are you all worked up about?â She paused. âAlso, the love of your life,â she scoffed. âI doubt that.â
lockedxabominationâ:
She longed for everything sheâd once had in the prison world, though she simply felt so lost without any of those she loved and the modern world was far from helpful the cars still managed to make her jump whenever she appeared from her current place of residence and now she was trying to work out what half of the stuff on the menu was.Â
âHello, okay strange I suppose but what is a taco?âŚand shall I order a coke?â
Nadia, from down the bar had been listening to the other woman. She was either extremely sheltered, or sheâd taken a nice long nap courtesy of immortality. She sipped her drink and pondered over the best move she could make next. After a beat, she went for it. âIf youâre ordering coke it better have rum in it and a taco is a Mexican dish. Plus, you might want to keep the weird questions to yourself and google them later.â
@fixatiions  â PETER
Nadia had a habit of cultivating useful humans. Well, any species, but humans in particular. They were of so much worth to a vampire. And any of them who liked to dig their nose into others business, Nadia wanted to be on their side. She slowly approached Peter from behind and slid her hand onto his back. She smiled at the people he was talking to. âWould I be able to steal him away from a dance?â she asked sweetly. She then turned to Peter and held out her hand for him to take. âShall we?â
fckeanuâ:
â⌠guess so. Maybe theyâll have another use for it, though. Or theyâll spend a long time trying to figure out what we used it for.â There was a brief pause at her following question. That was meant to be entirely hidden, thrown in along with the rest of everything, but after a moment, he reached into his back pocket. Tugging out a small paper, he opened it up to show that it was covered with colorful paw prints. âDoes this count? You know, sheâs leaving her mark on the world. A very colorful mark.â He let out a laugh before folding it again, pushing it into his back pocket. âNo. Iâm sure thereâs plenty of random things people are tossing in. Whatâs the book?â He gestured to it, his head tilted with curiosity. âEven if it is unimportant, itâd be pretty easy to make up a story about it. Maybe youâll be taking advantage of a little blind trust, but I donât think itâll hurt anyone.â
âI wonder what else they would use it for?â Nadia bit down on her bottom lip in thought. âWho knows, I suppose it could even be a utensil for themâfor all we know.â She shrugged. Her face lit up with a smile, light laughter bubbling out of her. âOh, thatâs simply adorable.â She shook her head at the stranger. âI think she has more to say than I do.â She looked down and the book then back up. âItâs a copy of Doctor Faustus? The Marlowe play? Itâs sort of silly, but I always rather enjoyed it. I think he really couldâve given Shakespeare a run for his money.â She nodded. âBooks might barely even exist save for museums when they open this. Who knows?â She sighed. âMaybe the aliens will appreciate a good playwright.
