Newly built Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District with Changjon Street in the background. The district was built on a former residence of Kim Il Sung and the luxury apartments were given to distinguished workers, scientists, artists and party members.

Experts have generally concluded that the country managed to stabilize its outbreak, but at a high cost to the economy.

The complex is North Korea’s premier petrochemical process complex and is a major producer of fertilizer, herbicides and polyethylene sheeting. Sodium carbonate is used mainly in the production of glass, soap and paper.

Newly built Orangchon Power Station No. 3. The overall project was completed after 20 years of construction and it consumed millions of cubic meters of concrete tamping. The network of five dams is aimed at supplying power to North Hamgyong Province.

Newly developed Hwasong 17 ICBM was recently tested at Pyongyang International Airport. The missile flew at a maximum altitude of 6,248 km for over one hour before hitting a preset target area.
