Eating so much salad, call me the weedeater
I've posted over 100 posts? Holy shit, I didn't think I was making that many posts. Oh well *shrug* back to being queer
A mafiosi, speaking to a captured/kidnapped opposing mafia member who murked one of his fellow gangsters: "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" only Makes sense if we were talking about keeping it equal. You see it's about sending a message. If someone takes an eye, you don't just take an eye back. You take their arms, their legs, their eyes and their tongue, then bury them in a shallow grave while they're still alive with no way to escape. THAT... THAT sends a message. The message is: *he pulls out a saw* a single eye of our people is worth far more to us than a whole human life from yours.
The World Tree by Ken Darmadi
Brautiful
Nothing makes me angrier than the “Minimum wage jobs are intended for teenagers, of course adults can’t live off the wages, they should get real jobs.” bullshit. Not only are you pro child labor but you’re pro underpaying children for their labor? Also, there are so many teenagers out there working to survive and pay rent and support themselves and their families and these jobs are fucking brutal. Pay them what they deserve.
Me: *clicking through 10 year old saved recipes that I haven't made yet* huh... I really had so much optimism with what I thought I was going to be making when I got older.
The pc screen: "How to make THE BEST Lamb Chops.
Step 1; go to the market and buy a live sheep to butcher yourself in your very own back yard"
Me: *stares at screen for a few seconds before sipping coffee and clicking away* I... I think I'll leave that for future me to think about.
Y'know I just realized something... If the faerie folk hated iron and steel because it was unnatural, then plastic would be a thousand times worse, and at THAT point, the microplastics in our bodies should (un)fortunately keep most of them away because of how incredibly toxic we have become, right?
A fantasy story about a dude that moves to a town that's relatively small, just goes about his day with gusto, really living life to the fullest. The townspeople see this as strange because "in this day and age, just what is there to be happy about?" They hold a town meeting without letting the new man in on it, decide as a town they're gonna hire a mercenary group to go and defeat this guy and call him the town's villain.
The young group of mercenaries gets hired and the townspeople treat the job as just an exchange, not even giving them a polite greeting. They send the mercenaries out to the eccentric's house, which he is actively working on in an expansion to his living room, so it's very clear that he is working on gorgeous aethereal paintings and art of the townspeople. The mercenaries come up and instead of threatening his, they question him about the paintings. He offers them something to drink and eat and starts to tell him about how he wants to show the world how he sees it.
The group of mercenaries return to the office own and returns the money that they had initially accepted and leaves. The townsfolk seeing that the job wasn't done all come together, convinced this man is a villain and go to his house in a mob. No one communicates to him anything, they just burn his house down and go back to what they were doing, with their daily lives.
This story has no happy ending because these towns people don't want a happy ending. They want to continue the suffering and misery without accepting there is a better way to live.
Sega, please, I swear to God, you have the chance to fuck over Nintendo by pulling out a patent on "controlling a character that is racing" and do EXACTLY what they did to other creators.
Now I'm not saying Disney is great... BUT the fairies movies are top tier, like I could see them making a bunch more and releasing an official "make your own fairy and have it appear in one of our movies with a mention to the creator in the credits" type of contest, and more than that, I could see them make a "order custom fairy toy" thing on the same website, imagine the amount of profit they'd make! So many people... SOOOOOO MANY would pay for that shit. It would be a massive Disney event and it would be crazy to see your own designed fairy make it onto the big screen while in theater. Just imagine! I know both adults and children who would absolutely love that shit.
I'm reposting this because that shit is such a good idea, and because I completely forgot I posted it before.

It's so interesting to see Phineas and Ferb as an adult that's very conscious of capitalism. All the ideas doofenshmirtz has are just like... Basically capitalism at its finest, or maybe not all of them, but a great deal of them are "create the problem, offer the solution for money." Which is super funny to see a government agency stop him from doing over and over again, through the OWCA and perry the platypus.
It is in my headcanon that PCU is in the marvel cinematic universe, specifically because Jon favreau played a weeded out college student named gutter. Seeing as we never actually heard any name other than that, it's now my head canon that happy Hogan was high in college, then got his act together and became the important man we know him as today in the MCU.
