thank you, i had a LOT of fun drawing those kitties—or I mean i have a lot of fun drawing stsg in general and I hope it shows but their cat versions are such good SHAPES it tickles something in my art brain ><

I don’t have a red bubble at the moment, just an inprnt, though i’d love to make a sticker sheet! i can put some up in red bubble in the future.

I have a question, do you clean up your sketches or do the lineart? I love the “messy” effect on your art it’s so lovely 💖

hi anon!! i don’t clean up my sketches, it just feels like continuous polishing but i generally don’t do clean line art unless that’s the style i’m going for ^^ i love the energy of sketches and a lot of my current art style depends on the roughness and brokenness and variation of the lines.

a lot of this is carried over from being a pencil and ink artist - and my tendency to leave parts of my art uncolored is carried over from my watercolor background, where you leave the paper white for the brightest highlights. it’s part of the “messiness” or “sketchy” / “undone” feeling i have in my digital art as well!

How did you learn to draw FACES so well??? I struggle so much with drawing men’s faces without making them look like flat twinks. Do you have any advice??? 💔

thank you 🥹 <33 “without making them look like flat twinks” is taking me out but ikwym and it’s ok too if that’s what you’re going for ^^ ! my quickest, easiest advice though is to address the face shape, which makes a huge difference—try broadening the jaw and squaring the chin a bit more.

and my best advice would be to study stylization that you like - in my case, when i started, i studied/copied a lot of Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye and Kris Anka’s Bucky Barnes comic panels. then when i was in kpop fandom, i was always referring to photos of the members so I had a ton of references to stylize—it made me pay attention to face shapes, eye shapes, noses, chins, eyebrows, lips, etc, all of which also helps to avoid same face syndrome and makes for a varied visual library. in terms of satosugu, i always have my refs open to the source itself (jjk manga panels) bc i love the way Gege draws them. for expressions, i love looking at Ami Thompson’s character sheets, specifically those of the Spiderverse characters.

whenever i’m feeling art blocked or dissatisfied, i copy (for my personal practice, ofc) a work of an artist whose style i love, and then i try to draw something else in that style i learned while it’s still “fresh.”

i hope this helps! it’s pretty much: reference real faces, and reference how your fav artists stylize. it all depends on the kind of faces and expressions you want to achieve in your drawing. you can do it!! 🖤

yes i’ve read it—i am thinking of deleting all my art there and maybe post new stuff glazed (which i have been lazy about using).

but i do plan to continue sharing my art on instagram and i am opening a sketch/nsfw acc on bsky bc there are less people there, the filters are excellent, and my fav japanese and korean stsg artists and a bunch of nsfw artists have already moved there and are posting pretty consistently.

so it’s still very half-and-half/wait-and-see, but i hope glaze can do the trick, and i do have ig and bsky as viable alternatives.

my favorite thing about your satosugu doodles is seeing gojo laying entirely on top of geto like a big cat practically clinging to him with all of his limbs, its such a sweet thing to me 💝

thank you 🥹 i LOVE clingy gojo, and geto (maybe even unconsciously) is so open and accommodating to him—i have variations of them lying on top of one another and def i love to picture gojo just kind of plopping himself and slotting into place against geto it makes me so (ღ˘⌣˘ღ), also you’ve inadvertently gotten me to start a new wip lmao
