Elementary is by far and away my favourite Sherlock Holmes adaptation. It's the only one that felt like the writers actually understood Sherlock as a human being.

icb i forgot elementary s1 ends on sherlock naming a new species of bees after watson it still made me gasp this time around like it is such soulmates twin flames shit. And what a season finale i think this is one of the best episodes of the series and just the sheer genius of the twist of having irene adler and moriarty be the same person, moriatys blue outfit with the pinned up hair and having watson be the one who bests moriarty in the end which sets up the watson moriarty borderline sexual tension dynamic in the next season ooooooh why did they never revisit this after s2 this is where the good stuff is

More Elementary—tonight’s episode is Risk Management.

Holmes is talking (finally!) about Irene Adler, and she was an art restorer in this world. I like that, it’s elegant.

However, I agree with that post that talked about how she’s one of the characters (like Jonathan Harker, real estate attorney) who could have the same career in the modern era. Why didn’t they keep her as an opera singer?
