January 20th and 21st 2017 were two very different days of protest that will go down in history. Although I only stayed for the Women's March for 30 minutes, I caught a glimpse of the untied force against bigotry, sexism, fascism, and countless of other things. This gives me hope in humanity. My experience at the protest this past Friday is something I'll never forget. We need to shout more! continue this fight! We are in this together! ⚡️✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 ⚡️
My friends are badasses 🤘
Tbt to 8 years ago when millions of people descended upon DC to witness President Obamas first inauguration. I took this shot when I was barely 17 years old at the We Are One concert on the last official day of the Bush era. I've never have seen so many types of people in one setting, on both that Jan 19th and 20th. The diversity that was present was incredible; a true reflection on what the USA actually looks like. It's crazy to think about how much hope we had then, but it's even crazier to think the same sense of hope is what is going to drive the large mobilization tomorrow to try to stop this horrible person from doing whatever he wants. Tomorrow is going to be historic. Remember, this country belongs to ALL OF US, and when there's an evil feel in the air, hope is the only answer! Stay positive tomorrow, and please STAY SAFE!!! 🙏

2016 was quite the year in terms of visiting epic places. Olympic National Park was no exception. Goal for 2017: go to more national parks and start checking off my climbing to-do list!

My first time visiting Meridian Hill Park on a Sunday, I can't believe i've never been until now. The drum circle tradition is one of few in the District and it has continued strong for many years. There are people from all walks of life, every race, sex, and culture. This gave me hope for the District, knowing that there's still a sense of community outside of the superficial life of the politically driven city.
