Happy Birthday to me, I am beyond grateful to have opened my eyes today and see 37, many people didn’t. I wish I could enjoy this day without seeing my preconceived failures and shortcomings. I am so thankful I get to hear my mommy sing me the Birthday song one more year, I wish it wasn’t followed by the thought of it being our last birthday song together and me not giving her anything to be proud of. I am beyond grateful for each person who loves me and allowed me into their lives. I just wish I could be an even better friend and loved one. I am so happy for this day and those to come. I just wish there was more to be happy about and not so many coulda,shoulda, woulda and what if’s. I’m determined to enjoy this day and not let my thoughts impede my joy. Happy Birthday to me.
