Interior architect from Palestine with Lebanese, and Saudi background. My work experience over the last six years has been in the fields of lighting design . Design is my passion because it has no limit, and i believe if you know to design one thing in one field you'll have the tools to design anything you want in any field. 3D printing is a new design field that am lucky to have the chance to tackle, so this is a small start and looking forward to what is coming ahead.

Assignment #6 : Design object to 3D print 

I decided to create a 5CM ruler, since its my first 3D printed object. Something to keep with me in my wallet as a reminder where design has reached now and how advanced its getting.

1- I sketched the object on Fusion 360 

2- Then i extruded the sketch

3- In order to construct the lines for the size indication, i had to use the command construct plane at an angle.

4- sketched the 5CM and extrude it using the cut option to achieve the needed engravings  

5- save the object as STL file 

6- open the file in Cura

7- adjusted the setting according to the object 

8- rotated the object 90 degrees so its more practical to print

9- time required to print 18 min 

10- saving the file as Gcode 

11- Done , my favorite ruler ever :)

Assignment #4: Design something useful for text

Pencil Holder:

I decided to to create this pencil holder for my desk in the shape of sharpener. using the sketch command to draw the shape i want and extrude it was easy to achieve. and for the concave part i used the oval sketch command, and spline.

Assignment #3 :  Weird 3D Technology

1.Mink cosmetics printer

Imagine if you could just print out your lipstick, eye shadow or blush, in any color or amount you desired, right from home. That's the goal of the Mink, a 3D printer designed by entrepreneur Grace Choi that launched at the Disrupt NY technology conference held in New York City this May.

Wit the Mink, people can use any photo-editing software, be it Photoshop or MS Paint, to create or select the exact color they wish. The Mink then mixes a pigment using the same basic components used in most cosmetics, and blends that pigment into makeup cream on the spot.

2. A whole-building 3D printer

The 3D printers from China-based Winsun New Materials might not be as large as the one from Nanfang Ventilator, but they are still capable of printing near-complete buildings.

Printing in a combination of cement and glass fiber, the printer recently built parts for 10 656-square-foot (61 square meters) homes in Suzhou, China, that were then shipped to and assembled in Shanghai. A Winsun engineer told the Wall Street Journal that, although the process was efficient, unspecified local bureaucratic hurdles currently prevent the practice from becoming widespread.

Assignment #2: Modeling on tinkerCad

We were asked to design an object using TinkerCad, so i decided to design a stool with a lamp position on top of it. The reason i chose the stool and the lamp as my object it because a stool has more than one function it  can be seat or a side table, and a task lamp also can be utilized as a decorative or a task item. plus lighting fixtures is a passion of mine :)

Tnikercad was actually fun to use its very simple and basic in comparison to other 3D programs, and i think it can be used by non-designers too. In my design i used geometric shapes option and dependent a lot on the Workplace option to position the shapes in needed angles. Also used the hole option to make the lamp shade hollow. Mainly its an easy program that allows you to create objects on the spot.

Assignment #2.1 : ACAD software

K-3D is free-as-in-freedom 3D modeling and animation software. It features a plugin-oriented procedural engine for all of its content, making K-3D a very versatile and powerful package. K-3D excels at polygonal modeling, and includes basic tools for NURBS, patches, curves and animation.
