- corbeau constantly tries to control his facial expressions when battling, trying to keep a professional appearance

- corbeau battles emmet twice a day: their session in the morning and in the late evening; recently, if he misses his daily battles, he gets easily irritable

- he controls his volume well, but corbeau’s voice can get very loud if he wants it to

When Corbeau and Philippe were younger and starting to become friends, Corbeau learned Philippe was colourblind and decided to lie to him for the memes. Corbeau's since forgotten but Philippe hasn't.

this dialogue was lifted directly from the game when emmet wins against the protagonist when battling him on the super double train line! these are some of my favorite lines from the game -> “and win against you again” SKSKS I love how he challenges you to meet him again; he knows you want to battle and win just as much as he does!

- this was a private battle that corbeau arranged to test emmet’s capabilities before hiring him; no one else was there to watch it

corbeau was blind as a zubat and it’s not just because of his glasses

- adder loves corbeau so much and dedicates so much to him (his time his care his loyalty his life) that it’s only logical to him that he shouldn’t burden the man with his feelings, not when it’s “obvious” they’re unrequited. so he keeps it to himself, being the friend and trusted partner corbeau desperately needs even when he wants more

- corbeau, on his part, underestimated how much self control adder has. adder has seen him at his worse and at his most vulnerable so he had thought they had an understanding to tell the other anything that needs to be said. corbeau trusts adder and adder trusts him; why wouldn’t the man confess if he had actual feelings for him? hiding such feelings for years and years despite how close they are, despite having a bond unlike anyone else: how was he suppose to know that’s something anyone could endure for so long?

- emmet genuinely likes adder; he also sees how much corbeau cares about adder and recognizes how deep their relationship is. he wouldn’t have suggested this track if he didn’t think it would work out for the better

- adder was willing to let things stay the way they were, grateful he could stay by corbeau’s side despite it all <- adder pointing at himself: I keep all of my emotions right here and then one day I’ll die

- emmet was corbeau’s first real relationship; he’s still figuring out romantic feelings in general and how to differentiate them with others
