"I told you!" - nagged Konan as she tried her best to not step on her yukata.

It was that time of the year again, the one full of sneezes, flowers and small petals floating in the air. With it many were those who came and gathered at the parks to enjoy the breeze, the company and admire what nature had to show them. At least he remembered to bring the food. "Listen you two," their laughs charmed him, "For once I remembered to come dressed appropriately, isn't that enough?"

They laugh as their view started to get flooded with different people. Some of them they have seen many times, some were new, but all of them were called by the same thing: The beauty of Spring.

This is a Naruto OC x Canon oriented Zine, the signups are open until mid December.

Who are the Mods for the events?

The main mod is me, Gwen, the mod of this blog, who is also on @succikko-draws I'm mainly a digital artist and fanfic writer, I've participated in a few zines and projects but this will be my first time modding a zine. @onmywaytofanfic and Punch on discord help me with it and I also take feedback from everyone interested in the project.

What is Spring Oc Festival about?

A Zine project centered around fan made characters, ships and content in general. Oc x Oc, Oc x canon, fanmade villages, clans, etc, it all has its place in this project.

Will the Zine be physical?

No. This will be a 100% free and digital zine, a project for fun for oc enthusiasts.

Why spring?

This is so we have a theme to work on to make creation easier, we also have the ambition to make one zine per season if this one goes well.

When and where will the zine be released?

Our target is May 2024, if all goes well. See our Schedule for more details. A link will be posted on this blog and on the server, it will very likely be hosted on a google drive.

Will there be NSFW content?

The zine will be SFW only - check the rules for what's allowed. But I'm open to making another zine focused on NSFW content if enough people are interested.

Who can participate ?

Anyone! The Application form will be open until December.

Is AI art/ text generation allowed into the zine?

No. Only traditional/digital art that you made yourself and your own writing is allowed. We're not interested in promoting AI generated content.

Zine Rules / General infos

1.

OCs can be any era of Naruto you want (Naruto, Shippuden and Boruto), 1 to 3 main oc per contributor

2.

Your ideas can center on a Oc x Canon ship, Oc x Oc ship or an Oc and their own clan/village etc

3.

No incest or minor x adult content, otherwise you're all good. Aging up is okay

4.

The Zine will be SFW. You can include moderately dark content as long as you can provide appropriate content warning, but we'd like to keep it close to canon level, nothing too grim.

5.

You will need to join the discord server if you want to participate in the zine.

6.

Collabs are allowed and a spreadsheet will be made to pair people looking to collab on one or more project

7.

The deadlines will be soft deadlines as this is a fan project for free, but still do consider the workload this will take for you and don't push your limit. If we approach the end of the project and feel like you can't make it, communicate with the mods to let us know so we can drop you and find someone to pinch in.

8.

Applying to the signup does not guarantee you'll be picked to join in, we want to have as many people participating in it but keep in within reasonable and do-able limits

9.

No minimal requirements will be set. There will be a max word limit set later to avoid taking too much pages, but otherwise I don't plan to force people to a min word requirement or min art requirement. Writing or Art level will not be evaluated or used as criteria to enter in the project or not. HOWEVER no AI art or writing will be allowed into the zine

I'm late to the party, what is the event about? How will it happen?

Hi! You're nowhere near late, the event is still being discussed, I just closed the interest check.

I opened the discord early to discuss with everyone what kind of event we'd like to create.

The starting idea we had with a bunch of friends was to create a digital zine for fun, centered around OC x Canon ships. I'll post the interest check results and the discussions we have in the server soon.

Here's the server, I'm going to send invites to the people that left me their @ in the form, but I expect that for some folks I won't be able to as you need to accept dms from ppl who aren't in your friend list :')

This server has for goal to organize the event, it might stick around later as a hangout place if I find other mods but for now it's supposed to be a temporary thing.
