Fel as alien would have no compassion towards Muko. He only sees him as his personal cook and eventually... breeder tool. Muko on the other hand would be too scared to say no, but when he sees their child's eyes... he fell in love. He stays with Fel for their child's sake.
Love is a strange concept for strong alien like Fel. The only thing he understand is possessiveness. He won't let anyone touch his pet Let alone talk to him, if Fel sees other alien eyeing his Muko with lustful eyes he would gouge their eyes out.
Muko don't understand it at first but to be wanted and protected in that way for the first time makes him... thrilled. That's why when the rebels tried to rescue him, he flat out reject them. He won't tell the aliens about them, but he won't protect them either.
His priority is his kids safety, and Fel gives the best protection one could ever wish for. He didn't tell Fel about the rebels' accident, but he found out about it eventually. That makes the possessiveness inside Fel grows, and he starts to treat Muko gentler and with affection.
Eventually Muko melts under Fel's unexpected soft eyes. By the time he realized it, he's been pampered by Fel thoroughly and surrounded by their kids. Fel bought other humans to serve Muko, he don't have to lift a finger unless it's for cooking Fel's meal.
But one of the human has the wrong idea. They think if they can bear Fel's child they would have exclusive rights as concubine. How they're so wrong about it. And Muko will make sure they understand their position.
It was night when Fel noticed there's human blood smell inside his house. He didn't find Muko inside their room or the kids'. He was panicked, thinking the rebels kìlled him because he abandoned his own race. And then he found him standing alone in a dark room. With a corpse on his feet.
His eyes were blank. He's trembling slightly "Ah, he still has his human side afterall." Fel thought as he wrapped him with his body and brought him to their bed. He didn't know Muko is trembling with adrenaline rush from thinking with killing human, he might get closer to Fel.
Aliens love to play their humans. Aliens love to tòrture and kìll humans. Maybe if Muko did the same thing, Fel will think of him as his kind and won't abandon him? And he might as well set a good example for their kids. They have human mother, but it doesn't make them any less.
Muko bury his face inside Fel's belly fur, he can't wait to play with the kids tomorrow. When he fell asleep Fel adjusted their position so Muko's head is closer to him. He licked his face carefully, wiping any blood trace left. Ahh he needs to bathe him tomorrow.
