Vices & Virtues | NATHERINE
elusivekitten:
“By assuming things about me, thinking you know me.” Katherine commented, the look in her eyes still unamused. Instead of looking at the hybrid male who was standing right before her, the vampire stared around and watched as people passed by. Why did she have to run into him today? Did fate just have to be that cruel or what? Katherine had better things to do than stand here and spar with Nate because she was growing tired of them constantly going around in circles. In the end, it was always the same - with her scolding him because he was being pretentious. “Do you honestly think that this is me not being able to stay away from you when I was walking here first? When I’ve been at Mystic Grill all morning? I clearly wasn’t waiting around for you and I never will. Now, do you want something or are you just wasting my time by being a repetitive idiot?”
“Just an observation, that’s all,” Nate said simply. He shrugged, knowing she didn’t want to talk to him. But that’s just what made this all the more intriguing. What did she expect from him? They couldn’t leave each other alone--that wasn’t going to work. “Just a coincidence,” he said. “Oh, I still have a lot of questions for you that we never got to talking about. Like what happened that night. And what led to that demon coming here and invading out town?” he chose his words carefully, watching her. “I want answers. Because I don’t think you’re as stone cold as this town says you are.”
