Hey, here's a painting from a while ago. I'm trying to mimic the look of old 90s home improvement software. But to be honest I might abandon the idea, it doesn't look fantastic. Though this is a finished painting and I have little reason to scrap it now.

I've been so focused on my short form content that I completely forgot about this blog (which is nothing new).

I'm trying to focus on making some money from my artwork, my previous big canvases have all been priced quite high because they take so long, and so I'm working on making smaller pieces for like £20 - £30 each. Something that I'll be massively undervaluing considering the time they'll still take but nonetheless I need to make some money to kind of prove that this is something I can do.

Anyway I understand I post for nobody, but I will try to post more for my sake.

I don't know what I have or haven't posted so here is some recent artwork in the hopes of updating my portfolio specifically on Tumblr.

I'm not actually sure why I have a Tumblr blog I have no idea how this website works and I never use it to look at other people's things because it confuses me but you can find me in a more updated setting on most other platforms at 'Nathiola' or failing that 'Nathiola2'. Literally nobody knows who I am so whichever is the only nathiola. That's me.

It's a ghoul, was meant to be a part of a collection of paintings I'd do whenever I couldn't figure out what else to paint but I made this and then gave up lmao

I'm Hella slow when it comes to posting. But that just means I have a backlog of blog posts to make!

Here is 'the birds'. I once saw three crows harassing what I think was a honey buzzard. So I painted it in a brilliant blue sky. One whole tube of paint later and I've got some kind of minimalist expression that receives a lot of compliments.

It was featured in a local showcase which went down well.

Hello all. I forgot to post for quite a while because my phone broke and I had to reconfigure my entire life. But I remembered I had a tumblr!

It's nice to see you all again and I've worked up a little backlog of paintings in my away time, so in the spirit of getting back into it here's a painting of my better half, painting a cat. It's a quick study really but it came out nicely and I'm happy to show it off.

New painting day!

Long time no see. I've actually been doing a lot recently but because so much has been going on I keep forgetting to post. This is the latest piece I've finished anyway (kinda).

I'm not sure what it is or what it means. Naturally it's just one of those passion projects that randomly pops into my head.

Anyway this piece is going to be featured in an exhibition in a few days! Along with my cat portrait I posted not long ago. It's just a local exhibition but it's a huge thing for me anyway. To think that months ago I went from nothing to being an artist that does exhibitions. It's insane what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. I'm yet to start selling any paintings but it's still early days.

Bonjourno friends and relatives (I hope none of my actual friends or relatives know about my blog, this shit is low-key embarrassing).

Anyway I've recently acquired a studio space in order to scale up my painting operation. To commemorate the occasion, I painted the smallest painting yet, a cactus. It's a little unfinished but I've had enough of trying to thicken up burnt sienna.

Only a short post today. Prosperity to thee who stumbles upon my shouts into the endless void of the internet.

Bonjour friends and relatives.

I come bearing gifts, the gift of a cat painting. Done on a circular canvas with a fisheye perspective. This furry critter is based on a real cat I live with who bears the name Andromeda.

She doesn't get on well with other cats but she's a total people cat. If I'm being truthful, I did find an image of an identical cat to use as a reference because she's never around when I need her. But it's her in spirit.

This particular painting was done using oil paint and only took me ~8 hours.

Aloha brethren.

I'm getting lazy at posting to be honest but my projects are taking longer and longer. (And I'm lazy).

Anyway here's a painting of a wolf howling at the moon. And guess what. It's for an establishment called the sigma club. For anyone else terminally online you'll understand the implications that carries with it. This is also the place I work at as a bartender! And somehow I've managed to worm my greedy fingers into convincing the owner my art deserves to be on the wall. What an imposter I feel like. But nonetheless, if it wasn't for my impudence I probably would never get anywhere with art. And I did promise myself I'd make this a living.

Anyway I don't have much else to say. Thanks for reading. Tbh does anyone even read these posts? Would be crazy if there's at least one stranger keeping up with my updates.

Found this outline in my folder and decided to do a quick colour to finish it because it's structurally pretty nice.

I will say the arms look like they're on backwards but you don't notice until you do so it's fine.

I keep meaning to practice anime and stuff because it's very fun and would be helpful for some fun little projects I want to do but goodness me I get so wrapped up in my traditional painting I often forget.

Anyway, I'm very proud of this one. I come back to look at it often. I've also gotta remember to give them clothes next time.
