Hello and welcome to the National Park’s eighth Member of the Month (MOTM) feature! Our goal for these is to spotlight individuals and brag about their accomplishments and talents. Let’s get started.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I think about Kasey, I can’t help but have a smile on my face. She’s been with us for nearly a whole year now, and I just can’t imagine the group without her. It’s easy to see why she’s just so lovable; she’s warm towards any member she meets, she’s so thoughtful in so many different ways, and she’s one hell of writer. Needless to say, no matter whether you get the chance to thread with her or you’re just chatting with her in the Discord chat, you’re going to have a great time.
Ever since Kasey joined us back in July of 2017, she has most definitely made her mark on the Park. She has been a friend to all who come through our group and is always so helpful to those around her who might need help. She’s never afraid to ask questions or provide suggestions when she’s got one, and from this alone, it is very clear that she thinks carefully about what she does and what is going on around the group. This comes across not just in casual conversation with her, but in her writing as well.
Though Kasey has only had one muse with us so far, Lillie has been an absolute delight of a character to have within our group. As if we couldn’t have loved her character any more, Kasey really brings her to life with her writing. Her dedication to writing Lillie is so evident in all of her threads. She really breathes a new life into her muse. She’s developed Lillie from that shy, worried girl we saw in Pokemon Sun & Moon to a more confident, but still incredibly kind, novice trainer. That’s not to mention the great ideas she has for her AUs and how much she thinks about how Lillie interacts with other muses! There’s never a day I don’t love seeing her on the dash, whether it be a thread or an answer to a meme or anything else in between.
In our Discord chat, Kasey is the same story. She may be busy with school or work, but whenever she’s in the chat, she’s a blast to talk to. She’s funny, helpful if anyone has a question, and is great to discuss threads or headcanons with. We also get to see how much thought she’s put not in just Lillie, but even muses she’s considering as well. No matter what she’s talking about, you won’t regret having a conversation with her any day.
What can I say? Kasey is everything you’d hope for in a friend and a roleplay partner. I’m so glad that the National Park has had a chance to keep someone like her around for as long as we have, and we hope she sticks around for a whole lot longer. Here’s to you, Kasey! Congratulations!
