NEW LIVE NIGHT IS FOCUSED ON NOTHIN BUT THE MUSIC
I can almost hear you thinking “not another live showcase night”! And yes it is – the launch of another showcase night in a city that has numerous open mics and talent showcases. However were this one differs is the involvement of respected talent spotters and promoters, NBTM.
The monthly showcase event, appropriately named Nothin But The Music Live, is aimed at the new music connoisseurs who love to discover new talent and care nothing for genre restrictions and overstated promotions.
Yaw Owusu, who is the Music Curator for Liverpool International Music Festival, is heading up the night and believes that this type of event is essential. “I think there needs to be a regular showcase night that is a non-cliquey genre-blending affair were genuinely you can discover new talent”
Each month’s line up is selected by Yaw, budding promoter Iddy Hussain and acclaimed singer-songwriter, KOF – who are all hugely passionate about new talent.
“This is the type of event we need more of – cool, laid back and good vibes”, says KOF “we really want to make this event accessible and enjoyable for both performers and audiences”
The launch event starts at 20.30 this Friday at House and features an eclectic line up including:
The Wretched Pearls – genre-blending folkesque rhythms from the Nordic six piece
Katy Alex Bryson – alternative singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist
Tyler Mensah – 16-year-old singer-songwriter and winner of GIT Award People’s Choice 2013
Shell Delilah – exciting singer-songwriter
Shift – upcoming Beat BoxerÂ
DJ Dan Kraines - multi-genre DJ
 Tickets are £5 pre-sale / £7 on the door.
 NBTM Live will then take place the last Friday of each month.
