“you’ll ‘ave to clue me in to what it is.” her words are quiet, she’s more interested in reaching out to the older version of herself, trying to grip on to anything. it’s starting to worry her.
not being able to grab something when she just appeared…crashed, transported- whatever had happened, she could pass off as interference perhaps, but her hand still falls through solid matter and her face becomes more and more panicked.
“what do you mean? why can’t i touch anythin’? what is that thing in my- i mean your- i mean our chest?”
damn. this is heart breaking to watch. she hasn’t thought about this day in a long time and now she was witnessing it happen to someone else -- except no this isn’t someone else, its her past and she’s literally reliving it. she desperately wants to hold her young counter part, tell her it will all be okay but she knows it’s not possible.
“Chronal Disassociation, that’s what Winston calls it. you’re gonna keep slipping through time; this thing --” she smiles looking down at it, listening to the soft hum the machinery emits. “-- Winston made it, keeps us in one place. but ... it’s gonna take a while, love.”
