You Sent Me Flying.
INVOLVED: Mercedes Jones & Samuel Evans TIME FRAME: Saturday, February 13, 2021
Addison’s Valentine’s Gifts
Acquaintance
Samuel: took the sneakers, got into them quickly. This time when she styles him, he was the perfect mannequin - no model. He thought laughing inwardly. He didn't even bother to touch the goggles she placed on his head. He'd felt pride, when she uttered the word perfect, but quickly stamped down the feeling. She was talking about the outfit after all.
Mercedes: he was like an adonis though she would never tell him that, he made the clothes look good. Not the other way around. "I'll take these things" she told the women before she looked at Samuel with a faint smile. She was going to truly love dressed him up, her own little Ken doll.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: she watched him come out, offering him the sneakers she wanted him to try on. After she offered the puffer coat to him before she walked up and placed the goggles on his head. She tilted them to the right a bit before she stood back, she tucked a little of the shirt in bit and let the other half hang freely. "perfect.."
Samuel: took the sneakers, got into them quickly. This time when she styles him, he was the perect mannequin - no model. He thought laughing inwardly. He didn't even bother to touch the goggles she placed on his head. He'd felt pride, when she unttered the word perfect, but quickly stamped down the feeling. She was talking about the outfit after all.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: asked for a particular sneaker in the man's size and grabbed a pair os skii goggles off of a mannequin as well. She sat them aside before she grabbed a puffer coat eyeing it, before she nodded her approval to herself. Despite the price she knew he'd wear the hell out of the coat, it was a good quality coat and NYC was cold as hell. "Also" she said looking to the manager "do you mind contacting me if any newer pieces come in" she asked her. "Of course we will" she said happily.
Samuel: Jeans. Something he was more familiar with. Puzzled, he held the jeans up, searching the inside panel, tag everywhere. Finding nothing, he bit his lips and repeated the process with the 'T-Shirt?' He thought, Shocked by the weight, it didn't even surprise him to see the Dior logo, expertly woven into the fabric. "Damn." He said, stripping off the current outfit to replace it the new designer upgrade of what he'd arrived wearing. A little more confident this time, he stepped out arms out to the side. "What's next?" He asked, eyes finding Mercedes.
Acquaintance
mercedes: "Okay" she said shooing him away from her "take that off, and put this on" she said handing him over the items. After she did she moved to decide how she'd accessorize it.
Samuel: took the new set of clothes from Mercedes' hand.gr "You wish is my commanded." He told the woman, with a grin. Back pedestaling back into the dressing room. He sat the clothes down on top of original outfit and stared at his reflection. He fingered the belt for a moment squinting. "do look good..." He finally said to himself as he reached to put on the second outfit.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: "Tuxedo" she said as she pushed his hands into his pockets, and posed him how she desired. She combed his hair with her fingers to her liking and stood back, her hand rested on her chin as she examined him. "You look good enough to eat" she complimented, awarded with a few chuckles.
Samuel: face contorted, as he tried to picture the get up she'd put him in. She posed him and he let her, raising his chin high, he turned his head to the side, giving off the perfect model, pose playfully. He lost it when, body trembling with laughter as she mocked him. "Funny." He countered, still laughing at himself.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: "Great you won't need alterations" she replied back to him as he came walking out. He already looked 10 times better and he wasn't even completely dressed yet. She looked him over, before walking over to him unbuttoning a few buttons at the top. She tucked the shirt in and placed the tuxedo belt around his waist. She grabbed the loafers and brought them to him, "here" she said to him. She grabbed the buckle and placed it, centered against the belt. She lowered herself slightly and tacked it with needle and thread in place.
Samuel: stood in the middle of the room, pointedly ignoring anyone that wasn't Mercedes. They didn't make him uncomfortable, they were just unimportant. He grinned as she unbuttoned and tucked his clothes. Feeling only slightly, uncomfortable with her trying to get the shirt down the front of his pants. "I got it." He told her quietly, pushing the shirt into place. He took the shoes, and bent quickly placing them on his feet. He raised his arms out to the side, "What kind of belt is this." he asked looking down at the fabric questioningly.

Mercedes: he said 14 and she looked over at him slightly, before she moved over to her purse pulling a small sewing kit from it. you'd be shocked how many times she had to use this in her day to day life, fashion could be so unpredictable at times. "Thanks" she said examining the loafer before she rested the box on the floor carelessly. it was something you'd do in these kinds of stores but she ran New York's fashion, she could do whatever she wanted. while she waited she already worked on the next possible look that she wanted to make out of the pieces before her.
Samuel: sat, removing each boot and accompanying sock. Life was funny, he thought looking at the ensemble, Mercedes had picked out for him. The clothes were definitely not him. -They were her. 'Yeah, but isn't that point?' A small voice said inside his head. He stripped off his clothes, deliberately. There was something in this... A shift. He didn't just toss his old clothes to the ground. He folded them neatly. Laying his faded Kiss shirt. It was a collectable. On top his vintage butterflies. He loved those Goodwill pants, they had been one hell of a find. He shook out the straight legged slack, then slipped them on. They fit. He adjusted himself, if a little snugger than he was used to. Pulling the shirt over his lean torso, he decided he liked the feel of the material, if not exactly the pattern on the shirt. He pulled open the door, exiting the dressing room as he finished the last few buttons on the shirt. "Everything fits." He announced, stepping into the back room barefoot.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: she continued to look for a moment before she grabbed a Dior shirt, and a pair of pants. She held them up before she moved towards Samuel "go put this on" she said before she walked away. "What size shoe do you wear again?" he asked him. "I need that black leather loafer in his size" he said before she moved around the racks and towards the mannequin removing the tuxedo belt from it and grabbing a gold buckle. "I need a safety pin, maybe needle and thread" she said.
Samuel: leaned back, arm tossed over the back of the chair. Another spectator watching Mercedes work. He downed the last of the wine, sit the empty glass on the ground. He stood, collecting the items from Mercedes hands. the shirt was a bit... busy. Vines were running this way and that. It was defiantly nothing he would ever chose for himself. But what the hell did he know about fashion, he thought with a heavy sigh. Besides, Mercedes seem to be in her element. Putting the items over his fore arm, Samuel looked around for a moment before the store manager, moved over to him, "It's right over there." he said, pointing Samuel in the right direction. "Thank you." Samuel nodded, answering Mercedes questions as he left to go change. "I'm a 14." He said, closing the door behind himself.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: "Thank you" she said as she moved to stand up leaving her purse behind. "Please could we have a glass of water, him a glass of red wine" she breathed. She walked to the racks and rummaged through them "may I style him?" she asked them all, who now crowded to watch her in awe. "We'd love to see it" the manager said politely. "Great" she said to her as she walked against the flooring in her red bottoms.
Samuel: stood, pulled off his jacket and threw over the back of the chair. People were cluster around the room watching Mercedes like it was 4th down with 2 seconds on the clock. He smiled as at the attendant as she presented him with the wine. Taking the glass he, nodded his thanks then sipped it. licking his lips, he was pleasantly surprised by the taste.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: "On you?" she chuckled darkly as she walked leading him to the room she knew all about. "Hardly" she replied, she was like a kid in a candy store right now. Making people over is where it all started for her, her 1st love. "I can't wait" she said actually smiling full out and brightly now. once they moved to the back she let his hand go and moved towards the seating. "As racks of clothing all new and in season, and for the next season were wheeled out she watched them.
Samuel: He smiled enjoying Mercedes company. For her part the woman actually pulsed with enthusiasm. The sight of it was infections. Once in the back in move to the seat, taking one, he watched her more than then racks of clothes that were he presumed for him.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: "Of course" the girl said and scurried off and she looked around, her purse in hand. The stores manager approached soon after "a very divine pleasure to have you stop in Ms. Jones. We are elated, to service you and your guest. If you'd like we want to have a private showing, in the back for you" she said. "Great" she said as she looked to Samuel "come on" she said holding out her hand for him.
Samuel: A private fitting room? Damn, this was some movie shit for real. He raised his eyebrow, stepping forward he took Mercedes soft hand in his. "Be gentle." He whispered as they moved to the back of the store.

Mercedes: "Okay great" she breathed happily before she looked around. "O M G" the woman said eyes wide. "Mercedes Jones" she fanned girl as she walked up to them. "I am so sorry, but never in my life could I have imagined ever seeing you in person" she exclaimed. "Somebody pinch me" she said excitedly drawing attention their way. "How nice" she said plastering a smile "I am sure you will be great help then" she told her tucking her glasses away. "We are here for him" she said gesturing Samuel. "Whatever exclusives you have I need" she told her.
Samuel: went back to walking just behind Mercedes. For the first time today feeling out of place. He wouldn't hold it against her. Fashion was her world and for the most part he didn't give a damn about it. One way or another. He pushed his hands down in his pocket, listening as the woman fell all over Mercedes. Hmmm, she was an actual big deal. He removed his hands from his pockets as he was pointed out, doing his best not to wince under the attention.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: "Mhm" the woman said as she continued to drive. "Time to really put my craft and talents to the test" she said nodding her head with a smirk. Challenge accepted. Pulling up she found a parking spot and turned the car off. "Oh shit" she said, the cameras were out today. The downside to living in New York. She reached for some sunglasses and placed them on before she released her belt and climbed out. "Come on" she said locking the doors. She discreetly tried to move into the Dior store she parked in front of.
Samuel: watched as she adorned glasses and climbed from the car. What the hell was that about, he thought getting out of the car himself heading to the front entrance of the store.
Acquaintance
Mercedes: she looked at him again "okay" she emphasized "if you insist.... a trim then" she said. As she sat her phone back down after hanging it up.
Samuel: Slid his fingers through his locks. "A trim. A little off the back would be nice." He said, breathing easier.
