Fanart of Lady in her Devil May Cry 3 outfit. Mainly messing with brush settings and trying to find one that allows me to put a lot of colour on the page quickly while still offering a bit of smudge. It is a tricky balance, too low and it is just a brush, too high and it’s hard to control the tone. I again avoided putting too much emphasis on a sketch level, instead trying to block in areas and build up but I don’t know that I did a great job of it. Originally I was going to do a much more dramatic pose and have her legs all kicking out and stuff so her arms not doing much made more sense but obviously I gave that up, mainly because her skirt is weird to draw. After looking at my art over the last 3 years I decided that I draw too many portraits, rarely in a dynamic pose and not enough backgrounds… the result was this: a glorified portrait in the same inane pose I always draw on a lazy animation filler background. About 3 hours with some faffing about. I love Lady as a design and maintain she is the best part of the DMC universe. Previous times I have drawn her I have given her too long a face like I do with most of my designs and as a result she never looked young or cute enough. I put a lot of emphasis on making sure I didn’t do that with this one and by ‘a lot’ I of course mean ‘remembered to a couple of times.’

New Devil May Cry game announced : “Devil May Cry Pinnacle of Combat” ↳ : China developer “Yunchang Game” has obtained the IP rights from Capcom to develop the first mobile game based on Devil May Cry. The game itself is said to include online team battles, real-time PvP and expected to launch in 2018.
