No more horrible cartoony artwork, it's time to improve my skills in semi-realistic style! Used my own photo as a reference (yeah, I'm scary guy), maybe color later. By the way, I have passed my exams with blood and Emperor's help, so there will be lot more artwork

I’m beginner artist deeply interested in Warhammer 40k, And I’m making webcomic about Imperial guard (more precisely, about Brimlock dragoons). This idea came up after reading manga “Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths” by Shigeru Mizuki. This manga shows not only cruelty and horror of war, but also its absurdity and incomprehensibility of its purpose to the majority of its participants. At first I wanted to make my webcomic in Mizuki’s style, but after I chose more realistic style. This will not be an epic story about heroes in golden armor or “WWII but with lasguns” antiwar propaganda. I just want to express my thoughts and views on Warhammer universe, and, also, increase my art skills.

This is practice in drawing background for my webcomic. I have also loved gothic style architecture of hive cities from warhammer, but I think that standart blocks of flats don't have to look like cathedrals with sculptures, gargoyles and other stuff, because, first of all, they must be cheap and relatively easy to build. Also, wanted to make this picture look less depressive and gloomy (compared with standart picture of hive-city).
