it's been years since i've worked in the tourism industry but i'll never forgive 90% of the french tourists for coming here and getting mad when most of the locals don't speak french after they completely wiped out our language in the parts of france it was spoken in. catalan is barely spoken in the places it was spoken in for centuries and you come to where it's still alive and get mad at me for not speaking french?? genuinely go fuck yourself
this might sound crazy in a world where drunk brits and benidorm exist but british tourists aren't even the worst. french and german ppl were the bane of my existence when i worked in touristy places because they love to come here and enjoy the sun and ""cheap"" cost of living while at the same time looking down on the locals like theyre lazy drunk subhumans who are ruining their vacation. the disdain OOZES out of them. i keep thinking about how mallorca has a fucking radio station entirely in german because of the huge expat community there of rich germans who refuse to even learn spanish let alone catalan. and how those same people are the ones that probably complain about immigration in their country. (tbh this is a problem with europeans in general though)
