Ok let me tell you why you should definitely want a How to Train Your Dragon and Brave crossover

Hiccup and Fergus would be best buds. Not only would they bond over stories on their missing legs, but I’m only 100% sure that Fergus would love Hiccup’s sense of humor 

Merida and Hiccup would have races - Toothless vs Angus don’t even deny it

Stoick and Fergus would get into fist fights and then be best buds a few minutes later, maybe get some drinks with Gobber idk 

Snotlout, Astrid, and young Macintosh together would be freakin hilarious - someone would most likely end up with a bloody nose and it wouldn’t be Astrid that’s for sure

HicCuP in a kiLT

Ruffnut and Tuffnut with the three princes would definitely result in some explosions and broken bones

Macintosh and Gobber would be super funny talking to each other ‘cause they’re both voiced by Craig Ferguson

If the HTTYD tribe was included on the whole suitors deal in Brave, guess who they would get to present as a suitor - It’s perfect, because both Hiccup and Merida would not want anything to do with it. (Also what if when they’re supposed to shoot for her hand, the other suitors are all takin it srsly and then Hiccup just pulls up the launcher thing he built that shoots it for him lol - “ok i hit it can we be done now”)

And even if you don’t like the suitor idea, Hiccup and Merida would be best buds ok i will fight you on this

Merida and Astrid would also be bros because they would teach the other how to shoot arrows or how to use an axe and have sparring tournaments and it would be freakin sweet

They’re in the same historical period (Scots vs Vikings was a real thing) and would fit seamlessly together (both dragons and Vikings were mentioned in Brave, just sayin) 

Merida would make an awesome Viking amirite

and yeah it would just be the best thing ever

Mericcup Week 2014 Day 7: King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men Thanks for another great Jackunzel/Mericcup Week!

"… But I’m afraid I can’t do that."

Hiccup is the son of Stoick the Vast, Head of Dunbroch’s Castle Guards. His father had always wanted him to be a knight, and serve the Dunbroch family, but Hiccup was never one to play with swords. Instead, he always had a knack for putting broken pieces together, and bringing out something entirely different. He chooses instead to craft weapons under Gobber’s tutelage - a mechanic of some sorts.

One day he finds an odd sight - the Princess of Dunbroch at the shop, eyeing his makeshift swords. Though she was hiding under a cloak, there was no mistaking her mass of fiery hair. She tells him of her ‘princess duties’ and how she abhors them, how she’d much rather learn how to use a sword. He says he can teach her what little he knew, and they become very good friends, spending almost every waking hour together.

His Father learned of their friendship too soon, and warned him to keep his distance. He was right, after all. She may be a Princess now, but she would be Queen someday - and all he would ever be was her mechanic, her assistant - no - servant. He realizes he had no right to befriend one of royalty. And he certainly did not have the right to love one.
