hey reddit me (21F) and my sister (25F) have a complicated relationship. she and my husband (???M) have never really gotten along that well because of it but i recently found out that i’m pregnant and i want to have a healthier family dynamic before my child is born. the problem is me and my sister had a super messed up childhood to begin with and a semi recent series of traumatic events has affected all of us very deeply, especially my sister. she’s turned to drinking and partying to ease her pain which is kind of understandable but my husband is seriously losing patience with her because we keep loaning her money and she just spends it on booze. he decided we should keep her trapped in our guesthouse with one of his friends as her personal trainer and therapist until she gets her shit together. my sister technically agreed to this but her only other option was getting thrown out in the woods. it goes without saying that she is super pissed about this but i don’t know how else to help her. AITA?

UPDATE!!! so my sister came over yesterday in the midst of a rage spiral and told me my husband and pretty much everyone else in my life is lying to me about my pregnancy?? and when i confronted my husband about it he flew off the handle. apparently he even has my doctors lying to me. my sister probably just said it to be mean but that doesn’t really bother me because that’s just kinda how she is and no one else was gonna tell me the truth. also my husband threatened to kill her?? anyways the physical trainer guy i mentioned in my post before is putting her through some pretty intense wilderness therapy right now but he’s a good guy so i think it’ll be fine. everyone else seems committed to hating my sister even more than they did before but that seems a little overboard to me. i guess i’m asking is my sister TA?
