Just a little reminder, the Avengers shot the Phoenix Force, because they thought they knew more about it than THE X-MEN, which resulted in Cyclops getting possessed by it then going Dark Phoenix and killing Xavier. After the Phoenix Force was gone they blamed Cyclops for Xavier’s death, he then escaped prison and started liberating mutants from literal homicide and government detainment. But they just wrote all of that off as Cyclops being selfish and mutant supremacy lmao.

This moment was so so so stupid…and rendered irrelevant and pointless a mere two issues later when Rosenberg took over the title and now that Hickman has thankfully washed away the bad taste of this flatscan apologist nonsense away.

I’m also soooo tired of X-fans who go for this kind of moronic assimilationist orientation for the X-Men. This isn’t the X-Men we need right now. We need X-Men punching Nazis and other moronic bigots in the face, repeatedly.
