On Thursday night my friends Hanako and Sarah and I went to see Interpol in Byron Bay and on our way there Foals announced a surprise DJ set at the venue, and the whole band was just chillin in the crowd so we said hello, and Yannis was like 'tequila? tequila? you? who else? tequlia? lime? here take a lime'. And Sarah was talking to Jimmy about Interpol and Jack was talking to me about bird poop, and Hanako was telling Walter that it was her birthday on the weekend and the next thing the Foals manager is like 'splendour ticket? splendour ticket? anyone? you? you, you and you. you get vip tickets to splendour in the grass. who else?'

And then we went to Splendour in the Grass on Saturday and sat around a fire in the ~*~*~vip area~*~*~ and we saw QandA host Tony Jones and every triple J host ever and Vance Joy, and we encouraged Japanese Wallpaper to go an get a photo with some dude from the 1975, and then we went to the side of the stage when Foals started playing and we watched them from there. Good show. And then we drove home and I got a flat tyre.
