jk rarely post for jm's birthday, so why are you expecting it?

I just said I also think he won’t post anything. lol but he can be unpredictable at times so who knows? 🤷‍♀️

I'm not saying people should expect a post because jk does not always follow patterns in terms of what and when he posts on social media, but "rarely post for jimin's birthday" is just plainly false? He posted for jimin's birthday from 2013 to 2019... didn't post for anyone in 2020. In 2021 he literally was live with Jimin bringing him his birthday cake and singing happy birthday to him amidst giggles. In 2022 he posted a thirst trap wishing "jaman" a happy birthday (and he even said his mum made seaweed soup for jimin's birthday). In 2023, Jungkook had schedules. He didn't post, but he did say that he would wish jimin happy birthday on "jimin hour" (10.13) ...like...I don't see how that's "rarely posts for Jimin's birthday".

I agree people should manage their expectations, though. It is true that he might not post. However it is inaccurate and unfair to erase all the years of birthday wishes just to anticipate disappointment.

I've been with Jimin and Jungkook since 2016, I saw their bond get stronger, I saw it seem like they were growing apart just for them to come back insanely more connected, I've felt it I've seen it, and now I have to sit and see people say they're GUILTY for enjoying their content as if EVERYTHING IN OVER 10 YEARS has been a carefully made script, and you know why that's happening? Because most of you made up your mind over a story of 10 years of queer romantic commitment completely ignoring human nuances of relationships AND specially QUEER relationships, and now because you're doubting of that romantic commitment you are drowning over 10 years of the most awesome relationship we've got to see developing from scratch.

Something CLEARLY brief happened 5 years ago to Jimin, something that we have no label for but it was also clearly something that he buried because, with all the shit that we're seeing and her behaviour, ended up being a trap where he was taken advantage off, and that something is suddenly enough to make you all forget a connection of +10 years??? So Jungkook lied about Jimin being his catalyst, they enlisted together just to feed an agenda? They choose to travel to Tokyo when life was hard just to play couple? It was all fake just because somewhere in between this woman with clear ill intend showed up? Oh give me a break.

I won't label Jikook because I'm not in their lives, I play about it for sure, I have my own view of it? Totally, but honestly? The whatevership that's going on is what I'm here for, and they are humans they don't live just for each other they have a life, friends, personal friends, they experience betrayal, joy, sadness, make choices that don't concern the other part and that's life, don't treat them like a bl novel they're not one, certainly they fight (they themselves are not even worried about it btw), connect, reconnect, but you know what's a constant? They love each other, they grow together, one has such a positive influence on the other, they love their company that's why a whole Are You Sure is possible, they have such a profound admiration for each other and they make sure we all know it by words of affirmation.

Personal opinion: this thing shouldn't even be in the jikook lore just as what happened to Jungkook in 2019 shouldn't, these are personal experiences, experiences that weren't pleasing to go thru and, for me since I have a good eyesight, it didn't change shit on their view of each other, 2020 jikook is a living proof of that. If you can't handle this mess and you wanna leave them because you think your lil bubble was busted go and make no sound, but if you are here for the humans Jimin and Jungkook, the relationship they created, developed, flourished, and is thriving strongly to this day (pls if you want to delete 2023 and the past months go ahead I'm not ready for that lol) then support them and let them know we're happy they have each other and we're happy to be part of it as support system, mostly let Jimin know right now that he is loved and he has never done anything wrong because for the love of god if he apologize like Jungkook did back in the day then I will riot, I was there and that was painful to watch I ain't doing that again because morons on the internet don't know an ounce of how real relationships work.

THEREFORE I'm here to die on this hill, I'm here to stay, best friends, soulmates, lovers, whatever tf they are and whatever tf they want to give me, I'm here to support and let them know they're loved individually and as the strong duo they make.

I've had this blog for a while because i wanted to take part in the jikook community more actively and write blog posts and everything and I never really did. So it's a bit ironic that I'm logging in now to give my 2 cents about what's happening after not posting for years. I've waited a few days because I wasn't sure I wanted to say anything. Not because I don't have anything to say but rather because I don't want to feed the rumour mill, I don't want to put emphasis on this or create or take part in any situation that could reflect badly on my bias.

I've chosen to post something and stay vague but I wish people would see this and understand what I'm getting at . I feel sad that some people feel like fools for being wrong or feel betrayed by the boys. I think it's perfectly fine that some may want to take a step back after realizing that they are over invested in a relationship that isn't theirs and might not be exactly what they thought it was . But for the people who are still hesitant about "to ship or not to ship" here is my take;

1. I believe this rumour is true and trying to debunk it is not that helpful.

2. That being said I think he is absolutely a victim in this situation and that whatever this relationship was , it's a thing of the past and no one had any business revealing it in this way.

3. I think the company is trying its best to handle things behind the scenes and in the media in a way that won't attract more negative attention to their artist. They are not trying to protect her over him. By asking fans to respect both parties they are hoping to minimize the backlash a hate campaign against her could cause against their artist.

4. That being said , I think the relationship between our boys was and still is beautiful, strong and unique. I also think that, although it is possible that I've been wrong all this time about the nature of their relationship, the boys have a relationship beyond platonic friendship.

The fact that they might have dated other people or might still date other people doesn't change anything about them and what they have done and said through the years. Rather than thinking that all of what I thought were indications of a romantic relationship between them was my overactive imagination or –even worse – a lie, I am choosing to believe that the parameters of their relationship might not have been what I thought it was. They don't have to have had a committed, exclusive, long term relationship from their late teen years to now for their relationship to be non-platonic and meaningful.

I am totally aware that their relationship could be strictly platonic friendship and I honestly would still find their dynamic just as beautiful and interesting if that's all it was. However, I'm also aware that living your life as a (possibly) closeted queer celebrity in a conservative country that forbid gay marriage, gay adoption or even single parent adoption might be not as straight forward as some of us think. The entire world is looking at them and scrutinizing their every move, homophobia is rampant and feelings and relationships that may affect your work, closest friendships, livelihood and reputation might be extremely hard to navigate.

I don't know exactly what their relationship was or currently is. Is it a romantic friendship, an open relationship, a relationship who had ups and down through the years, a situationship, a friendship with benefits situation, a friendship that evolved into something a bit different through the years but the stakes were too high to commit to confessing ...maybe even a platonic friendship build on so much love and trust that this friend becomes your life partner through all the good and hard times...

I have theories , suspicions and I'm looking back at all the content, theories we had through the years, fears and insecurities we faced together when we thought maybe we were wrong, songs lyrics and interviews, timelines...and honestly I don't think we are or were delulu. It still makes sense. It still works. Were we always correct ? Were our assumptions always right? Are my conclusions right now the only possible outcome? Of course not. But don't feel like a fool. Don't think you were delusional. The love they have for each other is real regardless of the history . You might reach a different conclusion but please don't feel betrayed because their relationship is real and their friendship is beautiful. We are talking about over 10 years of working together, spending nights together, time off together, living together, leaning on each other, supporting through the highest highs and lowest lows, enlisting together as companion soldiers....this is all real. I still believe in them and if you think you need to step back it's fine but know that believing in them doesn't make you a deranged delusional shipper.

Also if anyone wants to talk this out, vent, pick my brain, try to analyze the "evidence" or pick apart the timeline ....I don't want to post anything that could fuel rumours but I am overly invested in this and would love to discuss it privately.

I know for all of you I look like a "new blog" coming out of nowhere but I've been a jikooker since 2020, JM has been my hyperfixation/special interest for years and I know the timeline very well. I don't know if I would want anon questions (because that would mean having to air it all out in public ) , but I would be happy to chat. If you really want to send an anon then pls do but there is no guarantee I will answer (depending on what the question is and If I believe the question or my answer could be misconstrued to hurt my bias in any way).

Regardless of what you think about this and the conclusions you reach, I hope you all can keep supporting them both (jikook) through this. I respect people who don't believe he dated that woman and I understand people who do. I think it's not crazy to think the truth might be somewhere in between, but I'm open to discussion, I'm open to being wrong and I'm open to changing my mind.
