I grew up in a house where music was always on. My dad was a minister of music. My mom played piano and organ in church every Sunday. They were the saints. My grandfather pulled out his fiddle on Saturday nights – that side of the family kept things lively. They were the sinners. Both sides made me what I am. The records that played in our house ran the whole spectrum. Gospel and classical. Jazz and soul. Blues and Elvis. Bluegrass and country. Then later – Kiss and Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top. I never had to pick a lane. I loved all of it. I picked up every instrument I could get my hands on. Never read a chart in my life. I just listened, and I copied, and eventually I started writing my own. Growing up I wanted to be a rock star. Most kids do. I took the business path instead, and I’m grateful for it. It worked out. Ella Langley expands ‘Dandelion Tour’ to add 21 dates this fall

Following a consecutive series of sold-out performances, country music artist Ella Langley announced that she will extend her current headlining arena tour into the fall. The singer has added 21 additional dates across the United States to the second leg of her trek, expanding the itinerary for her highly successful live series. The upcoming portion of the concert series is scheduled to begin on Aug. 20 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The tour will travel through multiple major venues nationwide, featuring a two-night engagement at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California, as well as an appearance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Midland to release new album ‘Stages’

Country trio Midland are set to release their upcoming album Stages on June 12, a 10-song collection that leans heavily into the traditional sounds that have defined their career. Produced largely by Trent Willmon, the record blends fiddle, pedal steel, and honky-tonk influences rooted in Texas and California country traditions. The project reflects both the band’s travels and their personal evolution. “We’ve gone so many places and done so many things,” said bassist and vocalist Cameron Duddy. “I think we got to that place in the road where we wanted to pull it all together. The title is really a tribute to all the places where we’ve made our stand, but it’s also about all the phases and stages we’ve been through to get here.” Frontman Mark Wystrach has described the album as a deeper exploration of the band’s influences, capturing the spirit of dancehall staples and life on the road. From iconic venues like Gruene Hall to Broken Spoke, the songs reflect the places and experiences that have shaped their sound. Alongside original material, Stages features a rendition of “Drinkin’ Dark Whiskey,” written by Chris Stapleton and previously recorded by The SteelDrivers and Gary Allan.  Frontman Mark Wystrach shared that “‘Drinkin’ Dark Whiskey’ is a seminal honky tonk up tempo classic that Stapleton wrote and fine artists like Gary Allan and The SteelDrivers have cut and performed. We liked the song as it provided us with an opportunity to do a bluegrass arrangement on the chorus that really soars! It’s catchy as hell, up tempo and a lot of fun to play and sing.” Stages will also include “Up In Texas,” co-written with Clint Black, and a collaboration with Mackenzie Carpenter on “I Wish You Would.” Several tracks have already been released ahead of the full project include the aforementioned “Drinkin’ Dark Whiskey,” “Shooting Memories With Tequila,” and “Marlboro Man” (you can see the official video for ‘Marlboro Man’ – HERE). Jesse and Noah Release New Album The Sunshine Shop

Jesse and Noah release their sixth album, The Sunshine Shop, today through Usonia Records, distributed by Select-O-Hits, alongside the focus track “Lina Rose” and its accompanying video. The 11-song project has already produced four singles and videos: “I Told A Lie,” “Loving This Night,” “Old Cowboys” featuring Riders in the Sky, and “On Again, Off Again” with Tess Frizzell. The album also marks the duo’s first collaborations with outside artists. Riders in the Sky brought the western harmony needed for “Old Cowboys,” while Tess Frizzell joined the pair on “On Again, Off Again.” “It was just a natural with ‘Old Cowboys’ and ‘On Again, Off Again’,” shares Noah. “We knew we needed the western harmony to get the traditional sound with ‘Old Cowboys,’ and it was a natural to invite Tess to sing with us for “On Again, Off Again,” because her mother (Shelly West) and grandmother (Dottie West) were known for the duets they did throughout their careers.” Jesse and Noah wrote or co-wrote most of the album, with the exception of two carefully chosen covers: Rodney Crowell’s “Shame on the Moon,” made famous by Bob Seger, and “Me & Magdalena” from the Monkees’ final studio album. Joe Gundrum “Big City Life”

Joe Gundrum first started playing guitar in 1981 and immediately turned to songwriting as his means of expression. In 1989 he reached a turning point and began to seriously study songwriting. Each song he writes is a story about an event in his life, told in a storytelling manner. After leaving performing to raise a family in the year 2000, he returned in September of 2025 after seeing and being inspired by a local singer songwriter. Although he stopped performing, he continued to write during that time period and build his song catalogue.
