Ended up completely remodeling some of the suit from scratch. Still have a bit to do, especially on the back. But Im happy with how its turning out. Also Hit a bit of a wall and started playing with the lighting a bit.

I'm also learning krita as well after dumping photoshop. Decided to try a quick (And overdue) material study with some chess models from a blender tutorial I was doing.

Learning blender has been equal parts cool and frustrating. But i figure best way to push through it to try and finish things. Way back when I was first learning 3d game art I made this old cask that I was proud of at the time.

So I figured it would be cool to learn blender while making something like this.

I had been in such a rut for years I thought I wasn't able to texture like this anymore.

I have come into a surplus of free time. I completely forgot about this blog for a bit but I think Ill try posting some stuff up soon. Finally getting into learning Blender.

Re-animated my old work, separated it into png sequences and assembled in Adobe Aero to make this little AR experiment ✨

For a time I tried out streaming on twitch, but I came to realize I wasn't really in the headspace to engage with chat while working. But it was a bit motivating knowing that someone might be watching me procrastinate instead of actually working.

I made this dude during those few streams.

He also printed really nicely on my ender 3. Turned out to be a good piece.

I feel self conscious sometimes looking through some of my old stuff to repost here. Its not always the best, but I guess that means I should be doing more new stuff lol. But then I find bits like this where I went back to revisit and old piece and see how far I have improved. Maybe Ill revisit this again.

I still haven't seen the new Spiderverse yet but I am keen to go see it when I'm able. Loved the first one, I sculpted this pretty much as soon as I got home from seeing it.

I also did it mainly to amuse myself, because I loved how Kingpin was just this big cube.

Shrek Thanos

Bringing back another piece that I'm quite proud of. I think I started this one back in 2018 when Endgame and Thanos were still on everyone's mind. I didn't get back around to it until near the end of 2020, I spent way too long on the vest, but I'm happy it came out nicely in the end.
