Reshiram barely lifted its head at the very tiny pink paws that attempted to cover its eyes. Perhaps it had brought it’s human here for more than a playdate, but who was it to complain? It’d flown all over, spent countless nights watching over it’s human as it carelessly slept out in the wild, it was about time it caught itself some rest.
Which it did, settling down into the grass, watching as Natural covered his eyes and began to count before Reshiram closed it’s own for a nap.
❝Okay, okay! One, two, three…❞ Natural counted, loud and clear. Lonely games had proven that he could count into the hundred thousands, but today he would only count to ten.
❝… Nine, ten! Ready or not, here I come!❞ He called, the smile on his face probably the brightest smile he had ever had.
As the human began to cover his eyes and count, Mew giggled again before it suddenly disappeared into the air, making its way behind a tree and blending in against it like a Kecleon. It listened as he listed out the numbers, his eyes still closed -- it kept its eyes on him to ensure he wasn’t cheating! Mew didn’t like to play with cheaters, after all.
After he finally reached the last number, Mew stayed where it was in the tree and just observed him, seeing how long it would take until he found it.
